Wow, I have to say that I'm a bit surprised by all of the "horrible" comments. Yellow is not my color choice, but I think it looks great. If it's a real ZR1 then someone has a lot of money to waste. If it's not, then I have a problem with the ZR1 badges. Just like the "posers" who completed a wide-body conversion on their C6 vert/coupe and put a Z06 badge on it... it's just not right.

Anyone know where the picture was taken? I have a feeling that if you post this in the general C6 section that someone has probably seen it or knows something about it.

If that isn't a real ZR1 the owner is a cornball for putting the badges on there.

I must be in the minority but I think it is AWESOME but I am partial to yellow, as a matter of fact I made an offer on a Yellow ZR1, so far it has been rejected.

I would drive it, although I have had too many yellow Vette's, not sure who did it but if John Caravaggio did it would be better than stock.

Like others have said, I am not a huge fan of yellow but yellow is just a color. I actually think it looks good. From the pictures anyway it looks factory. Why not turn it into a convertible if the owner wanted one?

Does anyone that was commenting on the money really think this guy is worried about where his next check is coming from? Anyone who spends 120K on a car obviously has money to waste. A LS9 is a vert just wouldn't be the same but a ZR1 vert is definitely different.

Sometimes im really amazed at the people who bash someone elses cars on this forum just because its "different"

i like it. don't like the color, but that's my opinion. i love the look though.

and i know most don't agree, but i have no problem putting badges on a car if you have the stuff to back it up. if you take a C6 vert and add and LS7, widebody kit, and Z06 brakes and wheels, then i see no problem with the badges. however, i would have a problem if the person tried to sell it as a Z06. but any potential buyer should be skepitical at that, and if not, that's their problem.

Who cares that the owner did this to his car, he can do whatever he wants to it...maybe this owner should post some pics of some of the ridiculous mods some members on this forum have done to their Corvettes....

He certainly has that right, as I do when I said I don't like it. I don't, and it's no big deal.

Wouldn't a real ZR1 be a hatch and not a trunk?

Default Vert Lover

LOVE IT!!!!!

Yes I was shouting.

I would have purchased a Z06 but the top didn't come down. Got to be able to see the sky and not through glass.

If I want to track a car, I want something with a full cage. Street cars need to stay on the street. I doubt this gentleman is worried about tracking this car.

Hope GM is paying attention, give us what we want! And a lot of us want Convertibles, Z06 and ZR1's.

Only change I would make is to add yellow stitching and yellow piping to the seats. Ho Hum about wheels.

Does saying it WAS a ZR1 make it sound better?

This cars VIN# says it is a ZR1. If you're saying taking the roof off no longer makes it a ZR1 then to you it is NOT.

Why do people always say "VIN number" or put a number sign after VIN?

VIN = Vehicle Identification Number
VIN = Vehicle Identification Number Number

Anyways how could you read the VIN from these pics?

Not if you want it to be a convertible, John Caravaggio has made many Z06's into convertibles and they look like this with the top down.

I like it. The one thing that surprises me about this thread is I didn't know there was this much distaste for yellow. Kind of thought it was a mutually accepted good color for the Vette.

No ill will towards him using ZR1 emblems on the side if he pulled off the look perfectly. Which looks like he did.

You did. Instead of rolling your eyes just go back and read what you typed next time.

If that's the case then I will gladly retract my previous statement.
