[Z06] Oil pumps on Dry Sump

Oil pumps on Dry Sump
Theres a thread in the C6 General section re. 436HP on the GS. Some posters are claiming the dry sump uses electric oil pumps for both sections, some are claiming one mechanical and one electric. I thought both were mechanical. Anyone know for sure?

Oil pump and scavage pump is mechanical on the front of the crank shaft on the Z06. ARE has an additional scavage pump that is mechanical. Katech has their replacement mechanical pump that increases scavage capacity. I do not know of any electric oil pumps.

There is only one oil pump. It pulls double duty and it is mechanical.

Melting Slicks
The LS7's oil pump is really two pumps in one: a 0.95ci pump for supply and a 1.41ci rotor for oil scavenging. The scavenge pump needs more capacity because it will consequently pick up air along with oil.
