Default Carbon fiber side skirt repair after curb encounter

I was yacking on the cell phone and not paying attention to the curb I parked next to, backed in close
to the curb so no one would park next to me. Upon leaving I started to turn right forgot about the curb
pennsula with grass planted in it and pop the cf side skirt hit the corner or the curb just behind the front
tire split in two and rolled under the rocker panel and ground on the top of the curb. The side skirt saved
the rocker panel, because I would have taken it out.

Wife was with me as we went to lunch together, my first major screw up. I got on the phone and ordered
the new part $1,350, waited 4 weeks GM was in BK @ the time. New part arrives shipped in a long box,
wraped up real nice, but FedX bent the box and the new part was cracked through the middle. Order
new part wait 3 more weeks.

Customer and friend of mine, says give me the part I'll repair it for you, I'm thinking imposible as it is trashed.

I couldn't believe he could repair it that good, I'm stoked up, happy ending.

If I don't point it out to you you would never notice it was repaired.

By the way, looks like ZO6 wheels will fit fine.

Moral of the story get it repaired cheaper than new parts! Now I can rest eazy knowing if the front splitter gets
damaged off for repairs.

Happy ending Ted! Great information I ordered refigerator panels from Wa. 3 times. Fed Ex delivered then they were broken. I couldn't get the factory to pack them any better. They didn't want the old ones back. So I took the best part of each and made them so they looked new.
Was it delivered to the dealer or home?

Pat, It was delivered to the chevy dealer, all they needed to do was tape it to a 1X4 board or ship it in a tube.

Tom, I had Lance cover it with clear bra matl. I will see if the clear coat makes a differance.
