Frank - Your video camera appears to be very stable.

How do you have it mounted?

I sure hope they get the timing thing right.... ALOT of pissed folks down here in miami.... worst part is, they posted those junk numbers... not a good start however, I hear the Jan. will have timing lights...

I'll be their for sure... At what mph (more or less) did you shift out of 4th? I usually stretch 4th to 164mph.

EDIT
For some reason the quality of the video has gone down???? Does You Tube lower the quality with the number of views? When I posted it, it was available in HD.... Now it looks all grainy and the sound has a crackle in it too???
THATS GREAT GUY...BE SAFE

Thanks... I actually think the 1-2 could have been better... I think it activated the torque management. This event was the 1st time I ever did a quick 4-5 shift.... So room for improvement there too. But overall I was pleased with my passes!

Was there actually a radar gun there? There are a few of us that think they might have been guessing the speed....lol

You wouldn't believe the set up...lol I winged it together the night before the race. I found an old 6 mp camera that was small enough to fit into my G-Tech Pro bracket with windshield mount. Then I mounted it on the back window facing forward.... It works great!!!!
You can see it in the back window of this pic if you look...

To be honest I didn't notice. I was watching the tach. It was between 6.9k and 7k when I shifted....

Good runs. But you should use GPS instead of your speedo. The speedo way up there can be off by a few MPH. That and the Texas Mile has always been outstanding as far as their times go. Don't understand why yours wasn't accurate!

EDIT: NEVERMIND...just put together that you were not at the Texas Mile.

Yep, I realize that. But I was expecting the organizers of this event to have a legit timing system.... I guess I should have known better!! They did clock me... 151 1st pass (was 171 on the HUD) and 158 2nd (was 168 on the HUD)... Then they said their radar gun was low by 20 mph.... which wasnt right either... GaryZ06 ran 176 mph on his GPS and they told him 162 on radar.....
Supposedly next event they will have the timing lights like the Texas Mile event....

Oh damn! Yeah 151 is a little low for a C6ZO6 in the mile LOL. Yeah the timing lights are a necessity.

Looks like it took about 35 seconds to go from ZERO to almost 170MPH.

Man these cars are fast.

You came to the Texas mile Gary? Man, I started to show up but decided to stay back while Patrick and the gang represented for support.

Besides, I do the Texas mile every time I drive home when I can

Thanks,
Carlos
