Default LS7 Valve Size Question

LS7 Cylinder Head: I need to know the Overall Length and the tip length of the Intake and Exhaust Valves that come from the factory.

Does anyone have this information?
Thanks in advance!

I can pull some out and measure them, but I thought there would be an expert on here that would know the size for sure....Jason?

Manley lists the following in their catalog.

Intake: 5.200" LOA, 0.300" tip
Exhaust: 5.230" LOA, 0.290" tip

No guarantees that's the exact same as stock. For one thing, the stockers use a lash cap on the intake.

Gannet - Thank You! I checked Del West, Ferrea, Xceldyne, and Rev, and didn't think to check the old standby Manley.

THANKS AGAIN!

I measure 5.125". That does not include the lash cap.

The official GM spec is 5.123" +/- .005"

Those are probably steel valves with no lash cap which explains why they are .075 longer (to make up for the lack of a lash cap).

Jason,

Thanks for the specs, I appreciate it! Is that for Only the Ti Intake Valve? I would assume that the exhaust valve would be a bit longer (without the use of the lash cap).

Do you have a measurement of the exhaust valve?

Thanks again!

The book shows the exhaust valve is the same.

Jason,

I have a Brand New GM LS7 Cylinder Head in my garage, I will pull out the Intake and Exhaust Valves this weekend and measure them, just to be 100%. I will let you know what I find out!

Thanks again!
Joel
