Katech Street Attack Z06 SN#40 build thread
We just started on this Z06 and since the forum is a little slow on projects I thought I would post a build thread to follow it's progress.
Vehicle: 2009 Z06
Package: Street Attack
Use: Street/HPDE
many options added
The vehicle arrived to our shop with Katech splitter, spoiler, side skirts, Hi-Tech hood in carbon fiber blended to paint, ZR1 roof, Halltech intake, exhaust and Brembo 15/13.6" brakes. It also has HRE P47 Monobloks.
The engine is torn down.
Block is in our CNC department getting piston squirters.
Seats are on their way to Caravaggio for Daytona (C6RS-style) conversion
Notice how the carbon fiber fades to color at the top of the louver. Whoever did this did a nice job.
Trans is on the way to RPM.
Mod list:
Street Attack LS7 engine
+piston squirters
+Katech oil pump
+ARE Stage 3
+FAST LSXR 102
+NW 102mm TB
+Carbon fiber valve covers/Coil relocation kit
+Katech tensioner

It does not sounds like the owner cares much about cost. I say this base on having all of those mods done the same time, the owner's focus seems to be to get car ready for spring time! Wow! I wish could afford to do the same. That car will be awesome!

Looking good! You may need to look out for the car at Track Attack but what about the driver? Oh, that would be me....I still have a lot to learn and look forward to learning from all the experienced folks out there. So, I'm not sure folks will have too much to look out for from me. I look forward to meeting everyone in June at the event.
Yes, the wallet did get a little lighter! Well worth it to me. I've been stashing funds away for my little upgrades for a couple days.

Other than the interior, we share most of the same mods. Believe me when I tell you that you are going to enjoy the hell out of that thing. I'm not an accomplished driver, but getting there will be a kick in the a$$! Congrats on choosing your package. You will have no regrets!
PS: On the Quaife differential, Johnny O' commented on how well it works in my car. Good choice

You are going to love it and it's worth every penny. It looks like you followed my motto of "Go Big or Go Home"

Dvandentop, Tommy, Poor-sha - Thanks for the comments. Yes, on the "Go Big or Go Home" plus "Do it right the first time".
Jason is great to work with. I am afraid I am going to drive him crazy! I keep asking if the car is done yet. I can't wait to get her back and start having fun with the new setup.

Beautiful car!
You are so right, everyone at Katech are just top drawer! And, no matter how much you want your car, it will seem like about 100 years!

Keep me informed on the delivery date. I will be instructing at Pacific Raceway on 4/16, 4/29, 5/22 and 5/27 (perhaps more). I might be able to get you in. Do you have a Porsche or BMW sitting around? It can be in ANY condition, which would guarantee you a spot... We need to get you some experience in your car before TA10.
The only thing left is to figure out how to tag my car along with yours for the Autobahn roundtrip. Some of the TA participants are probably wondering if I actually own a Vette.
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everybody looks out for each other!
Safety is emphasized at Track Attack and we'll teach you how to enjoy your new power comfortably.
Your car is going to perform quite 'beastly', respect it!
Psst.....Jason, secure a rubber block behind Jeff's gas pedal as a passive governor until he makes it to Joliet!
