Fram filters are ok but as for me I use Mobil One oil filters in my Z just like the oil. You can't go wrong using Mobil One Oil filters

IMHO, I would never use a Fram filter. There are oil filter research papers that can be found on the web by independent investigators that will explain why. On a daily driver, it will likely be okay. The minimum required quality has to be at least a Delco PF48 IMHO. I frankly don't think that any Fram measures up to the AC Delco filter line. I use the premium Delco Gold UPF48R myself. Mobil 1 and K&N filters are good as well.

The minimum filter I will use is the WIX 57060, but I prefer the Mobil1 M1-113 or the K&N HP-1017 in my 09Z. No way will a Fram ever be used on any of my cars.

I like the K & N as well. Has a handy stub on the end for a socket to either tighten or loosen. Nothing against Mobil 1 filters but I tried on on my C5 and couldn;t get it to quit leaking around the seal. Probably a fluke but changed to K & N and had no problems.

and the K&N filter's "stub" is now the lowest point on your car, be careful going over speedbumps.

I sell many UPF48R's. Should you be interested in those, I'd be happy to help you out.

That is NOT GOOD! That filter needs to sit up protected. That stub hanging down. Is rolling the dice for
trouble needlessly.

Use what GM recommends - Mobil 1 oil filter.

I believe that GM recommends Mobil 1 oil only. They probably want you to buy Delco filters.

Mobil provides "promotional" considerations to GM for the previlege of being recommended by GM. AC Delco was a long time GM subidiary company and may very well still be today.
