Works great now!
Its fine.
I did as you suggested and it fixed the problem. Thanks.
Dave
You have to reset it. Try this, Push both buttons (window switches) down and hold for a few seconds after the windows roll all the way down.
Release.
Now, push the buttons up and hold for a few seconds after they rolled all the way up.
Release. Push the buttons UP again for a few seconds again a release.
You should do this with the door closed with you sitting in the car. After the last release, open the door. It should work again. The process is in your manual if you want to reference it, but I just cannot seem to ....oh, index!! I believe its called indexing the windows!

I just had this issue because I had not driven my car in a while and the battery started loosing it's charge.

Awesome tip, worked! I put a battery in recently and the window wasn't up. Got it to go up, but it stopped going up after closing, noticed after a rain storm and water in the floor board. Thanks!

Will this also cause the door latch not to release with the buttons from time to time? I replaced the latch (old one had physical internal damage), but the using the switches works intermittently only after the car has sat for a while.
edit: I tried this and it works, but after I close the door, the driver side window will index and re-index. Had to put in a new battery. 2nd problem is the door latch won't work consistently after replacing it with a new one from gmpartsdirect.com. If I bang on the door where the red light is that blinks to show the door is locked or not, it will index and re-index. Connections are tight and I had never taken the door panel off until I found banging on it works.
Any ideas?

Hey is your rad cooling fan not coming on or is the car overheating? I had a similar issues with the control module. It has 2 wire connectors right before the module and it will melt and malfunction. Quick easy fix was to cut both wires and hard wire it and remove the male/female connector. No more fan problems
This is common if you have modified your motor...
