Too bad they couldn't add Jim Hall's intake and FAST as an option. I would think that would easily meet emissions requirements? Like someone else posted, 525 bhp (+lighter car) with the other improvements would be nice! It would probably put it right on par with the new Viper 600 bhp in straight line acceleration.

Pricing will come soon, either just before or after the C5/C6 Birthday bash next month. You can probaby guesstimate that it will run somewhere around a Z06 with a 3LZ package, or just north of that price.
Also, look for Supersonic Blue and Inferno Orange to be offered on all Corvettes once the limited edition is built out.
While I'm on the subject, Z06s will get a new tuned exhaust and a switchable steering option so you can tighten up the steering significantly on the track or keep it loose for the street.

The above dyno was done on a brand new just off the carrier 2010 Z06. Our Super Bee Carbon Edition was the only mod. Dynoed with 91 Octane crap gas, 22 degrees timing, zero knock retard, and MAF recalibration only. The MAF recalibration would be factory calibrated with our intake. Our filter is ISO 5011 tested. The issue here would be that GM requires a specific sound level and filtration is always 99%+. Our filter is within 1% of the factory specs, but I doubt that they will bend their standards.
I have already contacted my GM guy, who may be helpful here.
If I was marketing this car, it would have a Katech E85 13:1 motor option with the Akrapovic full EVO titanium exhaust, Braille Battery, and other lightweight components. Our motor is at 650-660 HP and would pass CARB's emissions with no problems. I suspect even without cats. My wife drove it to church today.

Regardless of where GM puts the MSRP on these Carbon Edition Z06's, my bet is that dealers aren't going to let go of them for less than $100k+, due to the limited run of 500.

*******Note**********
This car WAS NOT the real carbon z06. I was at Sebring, and spoke at length with a few of the reps. When examining the motor, I picked up on several things that "werent right" to the eye. The rep told me "to keep it down" and ushered me to the side out of the eyes and ears of the rest of the fans.
THE CAR WAS A 2005 or 2006 base model c6....with an ls2 in it. The car was mocked up using the body panels, wheels, brakes, interior, and engine covers (but not the engine itself). This is a fact.
I know it doesnt really matter, as it looks exactly like the carbon z06 will. But I figured Id let you guys know that this wasnt a "real" carbon edition...nor was it even a z06.

We are working on that. That's all I can say at this time.

Jim, VERY cool to hear. I love the work you do in the intakes!
It would be great to see this updated Z06 hit 200 mph. 0-60 in 3.3. 11.3 in the quarter. Motor Trend Magazine Times. That would be a big seller!!!

No impressed at possible $100k. You get all this after market can't you? Don't like the wheels but I like chrome wheels myself. To each his own I guess. The color is ok but not eye catching. Would look better on a truck or SUV. I'll keep my JSB thank you very much!

Kinda strange how they can make practically the whole body shell out of CF ($$$) and have carbon ceramic brake ($$$$$) but the little pieces on the steering wheel and center console?.....Yup, gloss black plastic.
Other than that and the lame sticker on the side, I like the car, but I think mine would be orange as this blue seems a little dull.
