That is one of the best parts of it all. We can race together and have a great time. I like the phrase "The couple that races together, stays together"

Thanks. I will pass it on to her. Allthough she is most likely checking in to see what everyone is saying. She was very happy to get her first 10 and she will be back soon going for more.

Hey Carrie, you're a better driver than most of us, including me...

The car seems to be hooking perfectly, you guys have it down!!!
Thanks brutha. The car is set up just right and is taking everything that we can throw at it. Between Auto-X, drag racing and the upcoming HPDE's the Z06 is getting it's workout.

I think you can hear you on the video saying "this is the one" and "damn, 1.58" or something like that.

Wow, the two of you are quite a couple. Congrats to both of you. I'm sure she would like nothing better to beat you! The side bets must be pretty interesting

The side bets can be fun.

I am very impressed with her times. I've had more practice, but once she gets a few more launches I might be in trouble.

Thanks. I am very happy with the consistancy of the ZR1 clutch and the Nitto DR's.

It is amazing, some basic performance mods, tires and 10 sec time slips, no trailer needed, decent mileage on the way home with the AC on! Congrats to you and your wife!

Some times you forget how strong these cars are!

That is what is so amazing. We have had ZERO issues with our car and we use it hard.

edit: I did break one of the stock half shafts, but that is the only failure the car has had. I upgraded to the newer design and have not had an issue again.

I love the ZR1 clutch. IMO there is not a better clutch on the market for cars with ~550 RWHP. it has worked flawlessly since day one, is easy on the left leg and allows consistant launches with ease. For something that drives like stock and will hold the power, there is nothing like it.

Thanks Jim. Darren told me that you would be getting ahold of me. Darren just rode in my car a few weeks back and was pretty impressed. I look forward to meeting you at the car show! Make sure to come and introduce yourself.

Nice runs! Consistent with what I've heard. How many passes do you have on it (zr-1 clutch) so far on drag radials? You seem to feel it will hold up fine for a bit at this rate, correct? Just curious as most are making our clutch decision.

it has about 20 - 25passes on it so far, a few Auto-X's and next week will be an HPDE. We usually make about 5-6 trips a year to the strip so I think it will be fine. So far, no pedal issues, chatter, or excess slipping. On those hard launches with a 1.6x or less 60 foot, I do smell it a little, but it has never failed to work on the following 1-2 shift.

Awsome runs. I think it's great she takes such an interest in you racing and then races herself. Congrats to both of you!

How does the cam drive? I think that is the perfect mis of speed and power for cam only, however I wouldn't want a cam with any driveability issues whatsoever. What size cam and where did you get it from?

Are there cats on your car?

Cam drives nice. The key is tuning to get it dialed in. It drives as good as any moderate cam car that I have driven, but better then most. It was purchased from RSD, which is a vendor on this site.

There are high flow ARH cats on it.

I have been going to this same track for years so they are pretty cool with it.
