Glad you called them jacking pucks and not pads...cause that is what they are

They look pretty good and appear to be indestructible.

Default Question

TPSMak,

I am a new ZR1 owner (first corvette). Would you please explain exactly how and where these work on our cars and why they are a necessity. If they are necessary, to avoid body damage during normal jacking, then it seems like cheap insurance and I will certainly purchase a set. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Regards,

Regards,
The Corvette because of the way it is constructed does NOT have alot of areas under the car where a jack can be "safely" used. There are 4 "shipping/ jacking holes" where you put these pucks in and then you'll have a nice safe place to jack up your Vette.

Here is one that is installed

Every Vette owner should have a set of these... best insurance to make sure your Vette doesn't get damaged while being lifted or jacked.

I suggest that you edit your first post since they are no longer 29.99 unless you intend to honor that price. The Web site has them for 34.99.

FWIW, there's no way those will work properly with a ZR1 or a Z07-equipped Z06 with side skirts. They're not tall enough.

Buyer beware, etc.

Redo the picture so that the camera is along side the skirt, looking towards the puck. If the puck hangs belong the skirt, then there's no problem. If it doesn't hang below the skirt, there is.

I know for a fact hockey pucks aren't tall enough. So if these are built from hockey pucks, then...

Two hockey pucks. Seriously. That's what I did until a different vendor built a solution after I chatted with their CF rep at Carlisle last year. He went back to Michigan (that's the only hint I'm going to give in this thread) and had a solution cooked up in no time. It works perfectly. Their lift pucks are long enough that they hang below the skirts.

Sorry I'm being vague, but I think talking about Vendor X's solution in Vendor Y's thread isn't cool.
