Wow my C6 Z06 is actually faster than my C5 Z06!
who would have ever guessed that?
Oh also it:
handles better
rides smoother
accelerates better
has a 427 cu in motor
has larger tires
hand built motor
navigation
no door handles
5'' shorter
aluminum frame
HID lights
onstar
345 rear tires
dry sump
looks mean as hell
has 100 more hp
And it doesn't belong to a 22 yr old kid who wishes he owned it!

That was a 40 something year old. He's prolly crackin his **** against his key board right about now...
Anyway, I agree with the above stated as I also have 1st hand experience with both Z's. I just couldn't bring myself to contribute anything meaningful to that other thread.

Yes it was. I was tempted to jump in but I didn't want to give him the least bit of imagined credibility. It made me think of having a 10 year old kid walk up to you and tell you he's going to kick your azz. You can ignore him or respond. I chose to ignore. The best response probably would have been simple- Go away kid, you bother me. As it turns out, I think he's going away anyway.

I had ownership of both cars with an overlap of two months. The stock C6Z is easily faster and more capable car than the stock C5Z and more refined to boot. In my opinion, they felt like two entirely different cars which really surprised me.
