[Z06] Z06 OEM and Aftermarket Parts Weight List
#461
Way ahead of you.. Mine are genuine, made in Mexico by Ronal.
I know exactly what happened - someone heard that the Cup wheels were "5 lbs lighter than the ZR1's", and they are, for the SET! (Approx 1 lbs lighter per wheel). Details, details..
I hope the other weights of parts in the list are a bit more accurate, and this was an anomaly..
** UPDATE **
Ok, here are the accurate weights of
Circa April 2015 Factory OEM "Cup" Z06 wheels -
- 19" front = 25.8 lbs
- 20" rear = 28.4 lbs
Circa 2015 Michelin "Cup 2" RF's -
- 19" front P285/30ZR19 = 29.2 lbs
- 20" rear P335/25ZR20 = 32.0 lbs
Circa 2015 Factory OEM TMPS -
- one sensor, gasket, nut, cap = 37 g
This makes for a per front-wheel combined weight of 55 lbs, 1 oz and a rear-wheel combined weight of 60 lbs, 7.4 oz (ouch!)
Ronald, could you please update the spreadsheet? The weights for the wheels are way off in that document.
Thanks!

I've had some extra time on my hands (shocker) so I'm working on adding a weight calculator for the Z06 weights list.
I'm working on finishing it up right now but the calculator will allow you to select your year Z06/ZR1 and also the modifications you have to get a relatively accurate weight of your car!! I used the most updated Z06/ZR1 weights list available so it will only be limited to what was on that list.
I'm also going to add a part that will let you input your cars horsepower to calculate the power/weight ratio.
When it's done we'll have to figure out a way to upload the calculator onto the current weights list on Dropbox but I don't think it'll be too bad.

This post starts with replies in green to posts 424 - 430.
Next I have included, in chronological order, pictures of aftermarket parts that I weighed myself recently. best tactical reviews Of course, these pictures also appear in the spreadsheet, as a Remark in the Comment columns.
I conclude my post with information about the spreadsheet, as usual.
It looks as if these rotors are available for the base model only. See
this link.
My previous link, in post # 425 doesn't work any longer.
Pending more information (if any) I have not added these rotors.

If you add the brackets, direct link please weigh them separately from the calipers. Comparing apples to apples is the best way to keep our information as clean as possible.

The guy running this thread and updating the spread sheet hasn't been on CF in almost a year.
Can someone else that knows how to do spreadsheets take over?
Anyone game?

I'm going to weigh my BNIB Weld 15x10s and Mickey Thompson 3053s and Weld 18x4.5 with M&H frontrunners this week and get them added to the list. Had they not arrived mounted I could've helped more, but it is what it is.
I'm trying to find a set of doors from a donor car to see how light I can get them. Reasonably I think you could drop 20-25lbs per door, which would be pretty significant - particularly when combined with a CF halo and hatch with optic armor.
EDIT: If anyone has gutted the doors, post up some pictures and weights! I'm surprised no one makes a CF or fiberglass "track door" for these cars.
