Jamie Furman ran one pass in the 10s (10.981) bone stock on stock tires (at a low-40s air temp by his report at the time). I'm hoping to run in similar conditions some day on stock tires. But even then, it would still take a perfect pass for me or anyone else to beat Jamie's stock-tire record.

That launch was a thing of beauty! For the life of me I can't get the car not to nose over and bog (not fast enough on the throttle) but Ranger, you make the difficult look easy!

We are shooting for one more MIR rental before the season ends, racerns; unfortunately, the immediate 7-day forecast in the northeast shows low-pressure fronts dominating. Stay tuned.
Thanks, PeterM. Glad you could join us at that rental and congratulations on running in the 11s.
I try in my posts here to demystify what it takes to run fast times by breaking the driver's job into simple tasks that can be practiced to embed muscle memory. Repetition is key to improving any sport skill. Practicing the components by drills away from the track can then be leveraged favorably when running at the drag strip.

Thanks for the generous remarks, gents.
Thanks, Gary.
Collecting video of driver/instruments in the car has really helped nail down the personality of the LS7 clutch on launch and better identify small driving errors that waste time and understand their impact, like limiter-clips even during clutch-in. Once those lessons are internalized, improvement flows.
Looking for new records from you before the season ends.
