C6Z06 Track Wheel/Tire Question
I've gone from my 04 Z06 to a new 2010 C6Z06. My old CCW track wheels / tires won't fit the new Z.
Wondering the best ideas out there for track wheels / tires? This will be for HPDE, club track days, instructor days, autocrossing, etc.
My priority is inexpensive first. That means, going to 18 inch all around so I can find reasonably priced track tires that I can afford to burn through.
So what's the hot setup?
Thanks in advance!

Myself and many forum member's got some used OEM Speedline's from the for sale section, and mounted stock stize Hoosier R6's from the Tire Rack. I also popped for TPMS sensor's and a Bartec rest tool. Seem's to work pretty good for what I'm doing.

Sounds like a good setup. Which Speedlines did you get? Size? No doubt Hoosiers are likely the right tire choice for this plan. Do you recall your cost for wheels? Tires? Thx!

I'm running stock Z06 chrome wheels (Speedline) with Hoosier R9's. Love it. I'm running 18/19. Wheels 400 on Craigslist. (Yeah, I know), tires 1350 CF for sale.

A lot of people go with CCW 18x11 fronts and 18x13 rears. I run LGM World Challenge wheels that are 18x10 in the front and 19x12 in the rear. Not sure but I think they are heavier than the stock wheels.
On the 10 car you can get by without the TPMS tool. The 10s have TP sensors that can be programmed just by letting air out of the tire.

While true you can set up the latest model TPMS by air removal, tool's still the best way. Air removal way, drop each tire a few pound's, then gotta pump them up again. Tool way. Walk around the car for about 30 second's, and you're done. Not to mention the ability to scan for functional sensor's that are nowhere near the car. Maybe no concern if not swapping between track rubber, but basically a must have if you do.
