Default 1 thing I don't like about the New ZR1

yeah, I finally got to take it for a little cruise this afternoon. Roads were clear enough to get a few miles down the road in it for the first time since I bought it Dec 28th where it's sat in the garage ever since. One drawback I found is, you really can't get on it long as it get's to 60 MPH way too fast haha. Roads were too cold though, every time I got on it a little bit the tires were totally breaking loose and I would start to get sideways. I can tell I'm gonna get in trouble come spring time

Yeah that does suck. All of the roads seem too short now. Damn car.

You can't "really get on" an LS2 400hp C6 in most places....too much power. Seems as soon as some people buy a Z06 or ZR1 ( which just carries the LS2/LS3 to extremes ) the first thing they "need" is some power mods. 505 hp or 638 hp or whatever the stock hp is just isn't enough.

Enjoy your super car. With my lowly '05 I really can't imagine what it's like to have so much more hp on tap. Well, I kinda can....and I feel your pain.....too much of a good thing. Be careful.

Wait till you get on it when you're already driving 60. It gets to 80/90 WAY too quickly. DARN IT!

I feel like the only loser with a white ZR1 with chrome wheels instead of comp grey or black...the one thing I hate about my Z

It is in Pacific Junction Iowa so very close, during the season it is open every friday, well worth the drive!
usually get up to 145 or so on the main straight.

dvandentop: Let me know when you are going sometime and I will meet you there. I've seen it several times driving by and it looks like a fun place to open up the car.

We usually meet up (at MAM) a couple times a yr. Find the Line usually does a couple events a year there, and they are a good group to run with. Usually hit open lapping on Friday and FTL on Saturday with a few beers in between.
