It's alright, I'm just getting a little tired of every damn thread that has any kind of comparison turning into personal attacks. I'm only guilty of defensive moves, and frankly it's not even worth that. As far as this thread, I was responding to Saturate about the Bstone being around longer than the GS. No mention of michelins.

will the 345s do better than the stock c6 z06 325/30ZR19 on stock rims
in autocross or a track? I would think the extra width would give extra grip, but i did research a few years ago about this, and it turned out the 345s performed worse.. but i might be remembering incorrectly.
What do you think?

Default michelin rep.. kristen was it??

the michelin rep told me that z06 rear sizes would likely not be until the next sizing refresh, which would not happen until late this year, maybe even early 2012.

it is my understanding that the super sports have better dry, wet, and wear than the ps2's, which has me really wanting those.

Does anyone think that getting the super sports in smaller rear sizes would be ok?

for instance in order to get rears today i have to get 305/30/19 in the rears. And then when the 325s are available in a year, i would get those. The discount tire guy says they will fit, so i am considering it. it would cost about $1800 installed. If i dont go that route, then I will go with the bridgestone runflats for about the same price since i had a very good experience with those... better grip and 3 times the wear as the goodyears.

Great news on the new Super Sport!

I am running PS2 345/30-19's now and can wait until next year.

Personally, I would run PS2 345's before I would compromise and go with 305 or even 325's. The 345 fits and looks great, like it was made for the car. It rides and handles so much better then the OEM Goodyears.

I got to run the new Pilot Super Sports on several differnt cars yesturday !! BMWs, Lexus, etc. The had the same cars with Pirelli's, Contintals, and Goodyears. Felt like the S/S equiped cars had Motons, and big sway bars, that much of a difference.

OMG, what an amazing tire, ran circles around the other tires, no comparison. Did't give up anything in the wet as well.

My next set of tires for my with will be the Super Sports !!

I was told that going with a 12.5-13 inch wheel in the rear would take care of the fitting/look issue...is this correct?

Thanx!

i'm running them on my E36 328is beater and they seem very decent. however... things could be completely different when i try to put 2.7x the power down in a car that weighs almost exactly the same.

Hummm...does the difference in circumference (about 2.2 inches based on Michelin specs for 325 vs 345) make a noticeable difference in handling? Also, how much does it change the speedometer reading?

Michelin does have a 275/35/19 which is 1" taller and a 345/30/20 which is 1.4" taller than OEM available now. Has anybody tried these sizes on a Z06. What negative effect would the increased height have on the car? Anybody?

Default Michelin Pilot Supersports Tires in Z06 Sizes

Any updates on availability? I am overdue for replacing my tires. Fronts are fine and rears are at the tread bars at 10,500 miles. Go figure. I am up for inspection this month and needing those PSS tires pretty badly.

I haven't seen or heard anything although I'm not really following it anymore...I couldn't wait any longer so I slapped on PS2s. You may want to call Michelin and see what they say about a release of the PSS in the larger size.

I called Michelin customer service a week or so ago and the person I spoke to couldn't even spell Super Sport... I was supposed to get a call-back and to no surprise, never got one. I've got 27K thus far on my PS2s and easily have another 10K+ of good safe tread left. I sure would like to see 40K and just might... I'll check on the SS availablity just before I put my next set on.
