Thankis Dave. I am comparing non-runflat to non-runflat. I was under the impression that the PS2's were superior and a newer version or the PSS? I want to replace my factory OEM tires on my 08 Z06 with factory rims, but am having a hard time deciding if I stick with the OEM size or increasing the sizes. I am concerned with any lights popping up due to different ratios. Besides looks and obviously more grip and traction, are there any other benefits with going with wider tires? I read that they create more drag, and also decrease RWHP/RWTQ, due to them being heavier.

The Michelin Pilot SuperSports is Michelin's newest max performance tire, first introduced last year. The PS2 was their highest performance tire, but it was introduced at least 4-5 years ago. Quite a few of us on this forum have been waiting for them to come out with the Z06 rear size(s) and it is supposed to happen in a few days, finally. I understand that M should warranty these tires at least in the stock sizes for 15K miles as they cannot be rotated. In rotation applications they have a 30K wtread wear warranty.

Where does the PS3 fit in Michelins performance hierarchy?

Looks like the PS3 is a Green version of the PSS and available in very limited sizes. Currently they only make one 19" tire, a 255;35-19, so I'd say M will focus more on the PSS for our Z's.

What? So this entire thread and information about Michelin making the PSS available in the 345's 19-inch and possibly stock Z06 sizes is innacurate?

Default Prices and sizes are in!!!!

Yes sir, I'm the first one to order a set of the new Super Sports from Luke@tire rack. I should receive them in 1 to 2 weeks...

I'm getting the 345s/285s, $1744 +shipping. Whadda deal

The 345s are some wide puppies too!! 13.7" cross-sectional width. I believe that's wider than ANY other 345 out there.

I'll post pics once they're mounted.

Call/email/PM Luke and he'll hook you up too

I was under the impression that on stock sized rims, if you go up two sizes on the back to the 345's, that you would have to match the two larger size for the front to 295's. I see that they only make up to a 285 for the front. Will this cause any issues with the ratios?

I've got 62,000 miles of running the 345/275 PS2s (2 sets) on my Z and never had an aspect ratio caused probelm. I figured the 285s would be a bit closer though...

275/35/19 front 26.6" diam.
345/30/20 rear 28.1" diam.
Too tall, too large of aspect ratio?
any thoughts?
