Default Question about Z06 cramped foot package.

I need some Z community help.

I put 85k on a C5 6-speed and couldn't have been happier the total comfort of the package. My DD is a Mini Cooper JCW manual - so I'm a stick shift driver.

Now, I want a 2007 C6 Z.

I drove my first Z at a local dealer today.

My clutch foot didn't fit comfortably on the clutch. My foot was stuck on something under the Z's IP. It was uncomfortable enough that I'm not sure I want to pull the trigger on a Z.

My shoe size is 12 - not that big. I'm 5'11".

Is my experience because of the particular car I drove or has anyone else experienced cramped clutch syndrome?

I want to believe my expeience was not representative of all 's 'cause I really was a Z.

Thanks!

I'm 6 ft and wear a size 12 shoe and I haven't noticed any problems with the clutch pedal on my 08 Z. Feels just fine to me.

I've had my foot get hung up a couple of times when I wear "big" shoes or light hikers (size 11). You do get used to it and not get hung up. When I do HPDE's I use driving shoes and never had pedal problems (good heal/toe downshifts).

The C6 Z06 is a great car. You won't be sorry if you get it.

I've got smaller feet but have had this happen. I've adjusted the seat different and it went away.

I also had the same problem as the OP but I fixed it by selling my gts viper and buying my 08Z. I am 6 2 size 12 shoe. Never looked back!!!

Thanks everyone!

Here I come arrest-me-red Z!

I'm sure with some quality seat time I'll adapt.

I actually have pair of tight fitting running shoes I use for driving my Z. They are small and not bulky like some other tennis shoes I have had. plus the are light and they give me the feel for the pedals I like. My shoe size is 11

Maybe some Piloti driving shoes, as really not that expensive.

The trip to the dead pedal seems like more of an obstacle course but spend some time in a C4 and you will find the C6 quite roomy.

Size 11-12 depending on brand. No problem other than the occasional shoestring around the clutch pedal upon exit. I'm afraid someday I'll fall on my face getting out of the car in front of a big crowd.

I'm 6'3" and waer 13's.
I found it depends on the type of shoe I wear.
I can't wear my running /walking shoes when I drive the Z, But my
Vans feel great or a Loafer !

Happy Feet

You will.
As others have stated it takes some seat adjustment to get the right feel. After that though, hold on.

Congrats on your new Z.
