[Z06] R1 Vs. Z06. What would happen?

What year R1....that will make a big difference. The bike will win regardless, but how bad the *** whooping is will depend on the rider and the year of the bike. Newer R1 with a decent lightweight rider, you will need around 650-700whp to play with a stock one.

Here is a video of my 550whp Z06 vs. my friends bone stock 2009 GSXR1000 from a 40 roll. Now, the rider of this bike is 250lbs or so...and I still lost by 2-3 cars to 160ish.

Here is the same bike vs. car at the track...

Again, my C6Z is running 10.60's at 133mph. With a smaller rider, he would be multiple cars further in front.

It's a bike that has almost 200hp that weighs less than 400 pounds. It's gonna walk, I mean run, away.

my car isn't stock, but off the bottle I easily whooped a R1 a week ago, around 45mph-160mph. didn't even spray it.
I have a R1 too, it's fast but my car is faster

And I knew the R1 would smoke a Z, I just was curious to see what kind of power would be needed to take one. My buddy has an R1 and took a poop on me today haha.

I'm sorry to say it but if anyone here says they beat a liter bike or a hayabusa at the track or in mexico with less than 700whp to 160mph they beat the rider, not the bike or they are just outright lying.

dude its a liter bike. They trap between 135-140mph in the 1/4 compared to the 125-130 trap from a stock c6z. You need a little supercharger or h/c/i + spray love to beat one.

My car will be getting a few upgrades done in the next few weeks...we'll see if I can change the outcome some with another 60-80hp. New clutch, FAST, high comp. heads, larger headers, etc...
Since the video his bike has been lowered, stretched, sprocketed, and strapped. Still 100% stock power wise...no tune, no exhaust, no intake, no power commander, etc... I think his next mods are a clutch mod and an air shifter. We'll see. He is only trapping 138, which should be close to my trap speeds with the added hp. So I think it will be close.

I didn't make the videos....I just had the camera on my car for him so he could see himself in front of me. I think he chose the audio as a way to talk trash on me through the lyrics.

I've been riding for 14 or so years now and like you said, its all about he bike rider.
I did some pounding on some 750s and 1000s in the past year. It was most likely the lack of "rider mod" for them, lol.
Your next round of mods should put you in front for sure! What clutch / flywheel?

Drifting
Unless it's an '03 or earlier, your R1 is running on less than 4 cylinders...bottle or not. My '05 R1 could spank any Vette under 650 RWHP badly...so could my 10R and my ZX14 makes the Vette disappear behind it very quickly...to any speed.

Are you at stock weight?

The car is stockish weight...nothing has been done to truly make it lighter, just basic modifications so if those saved some pounds then great. Otherwise, it's just an 06 2LZ Z06.
I've beaten liter bikes before, but again, the driver mod is pretty important as is gear selection vs. mph. I read that Porsche thread on here from last night...60mph in 3rd in a C6Z06?
I decided on the McLeod RXT setup. Carlos E85 with 13.5:1 comp heads, Black Mamba cam, FAST intake, A/R headers, etc... We'll see what kind of power she makes, debating a cam upgrade to the Widow/Macho setup for a bit more gusto.

I grew up on bikes and lots of track time etc and if a Vette beats an R1 as mentioned you beat the rider not the bike. You need at least 650rwhp probably more to stick with a bike like that let alone beat it. Liter bikes are deadly in particular the BMW S1000RR. Run him from a dig if you have a tire....Its hard to keep the nose of the R1 on the ground off the line.
