I was driving down the Katy Freeway last night with windows down. Heard this really loud shrieking noise. At first didn't have any idea what it was. Then I came up behind a black Z06 that was making an incredibly loud bwaaaahhh noise, followed by nasty pops. This was one bad a$$ Z06! I mean it was so loud and nasty sounding. I pulled up next to the guy and he also had his windows down. I yelled at him WTF? He laid into the gas and shot off with tremendous acceleration and exhaust noise. When he let up the pops from the exhaust were awesome. I pulled up next to him again and screamed what the heck? If I read his lips right he said "blower". I then punched it and felt silly, I mean I guess that's how BMW or Mustang owners must feel next to me.

I want to know what was in that car? It was mean and nasty and loud and fast. It had to have had 1,000 HP.

Katy Freeway? As in Houston, TX? or where are you referring to? If it was in the Houston area, did it have a custom plate?

LOL... there are a few of those kind of cars around here as well. But I think at that power level you will have major traction issues.

For the street, about 800 is the most you need.

Ah...never seen him then. Most built cars have some form of "look at me" license plate. I live in Katy, wonder if he's local....going to have to go hunting.

LMR litters Houston with huge HP Vettes. If you aren't making 4 digits then Houston should put up a sign that says "need not apply".

I just visited EnglandGreen and they are putting together some wicked machines right now. They had 8 vettes in the shop, one really bad yellow C5 with 750 at the wheels, scary IMHO.
