What are latest Manheim prices for a used Z06? going to an auction next week (not Manheim) and was wondering what the going dealer rate is. Trying to get an idea of the wholesale pricing so I don't overpay Anyone know?

They are in the mid to high 30s for an 06... Funny thing is the prices are all over the place with these cars.

Most auctions are now diluted with many dealers bringing people to buy cars. Hence you can sometimes expect to pay near retail price since regular people are buying the cars instead of a dealer with a motive to turn a profit.

I've been to Manheim a few time's, and just about everbody's walking around with yellow Nada pricing book's. The desirable stuff's pretty much selling at dealer trade in value, and never seen anything go any higher. After all these are dealer's buying product, so usually know what they're doing. Suppose bidding could get emotional if the personal buyer is along, but haven't seen much of that. Probably a good idea getting hold of a Nada book, so you know what everyone else is referencing from.

I thought about going to auction; but after fees and taxes, it really isnt much better than private party. Plus you can actually drive and have the car inspected if you choose through private.

I agree. Last time I went to Manheim, was with a friend to drive it back. He actually bought a car under his brother's dealer's license, and was some hang up on insuring and tagging it for the trip home, since he didn't have the license with him. After all the travel expenses, plus turned out having some bent rim's, don't think was worth the trouble either.
