Default Cam install

Had a shop install btr cam with 38% fuel lobe lifters, pushrods, they have tuned it several times now they say fuel pressure problem now it was supposed to be a btr cam package stage 1 received cam card they installed comp cam with LS7 lifters they added 50 thousand to a 7.85 pushrod. During the first tune dropped a lifter so they had to replace it any advice?

An LS7 pushrod is 7.75" in length

You said they added 50 thousands of length to a 7.85" pushrod .... So, now you have 7.90" pushrods in an engine designed for 7.75" pushrods.

You got problems ....

But he's posting all this in the C6 forum ... And he stated that he has LS7 lifters (no LS7 in a C7)

I'm confused ... the OP is making no sense at all in his post

Although most of his math doesn't really make sense, using a longer pushrod with a custom cam does because they typically have a smaller base circle. I ended up being able to use stock LS7 pushrods in my engine despite having milled the heads .030". Had I not milled them, with no other changes I would have also needed a longer pushrod.

OP has made (5) different threads about cam installs in the C6 and C7 sections, and all his posts are very incoherent. I'm starting to think the OP is more confused than Joe Biden.

I think he meant to put a comma between lobe and lifters. LS7 lifters/trays in a C7 is common when deleting the DOD/AFM. We use 7.850 length push rods on LT builds. Beyond that I have no idea what's causing his issue.

Doesn't the lt4 cam have a lobe for the di pump, which is generally increased by 34 to 38% in aftermarket cams? Pretty sure this needs to go to the c7 forum.

As far as it being a comp cam instead of a BTR, that's between him and his installer but maybe BTR is done on comp blanks? Do they make their own blanks? No idea, just throwing it out there.

Either way, wrong forum.

Maybe ask for advice in a way that a human can understand next time.

There is a reason that comma's, periods, and sentences are used in the English language.

As far as the lifter collapsing that sounds like a freak premature failure or an installation issue. What all is done to the car in terms of modifications, are they trying to say that now you've upgraded the high side you are running out of low side fuel pressure? Pump gas or E85?

Possible but now it's like a puzzle that I don't want to quit before finishing.

Most, if not all of GM's D.I. engines use a cam driven pump, going back to the first ecotec in 2008.

Why cam driven? Why not crank driven as it turns faster than the cams?
