Went to the track Friday night in my 08 and something in the rear gave on a 4200 launch.. I haven't pulled it apart yet but I'm thinking both shafts gave up at the diff and maybe killed the posi unit.. I'll get her on stands in the next day or two, but what options are out there for good half shafts?

I'm definitely worried about my axles sending my *** home on a trailer....but are the C5Z axles that much of an improvement? I think I will go ahead and order a pair of ECS loops to protect the car from the axle in case one of them snaps.

Not sure if the c5z pieces are stronger, but good replacements are 2300!!!! I was thinking about going to a 3.90 and good axles, but that would be getting close to 6k... I think i need a sponser!!! After i got the alignment done i got about 1 1/2" more tread on the ground per tire and my axles did't like it... lol The bad part is my new cam came in on Saturday and i can't wait to get this big **** in, but now i got to fix this stuff first...

Snapped an axle on my 08 when the car was 6 months old. Swapped both out for C5 axles and haven't had a problem since even with drag days.

I pulled the pass side out and it was fine.. I quit to watch the game and will get the driver side and the diff out tomorrow..
