Not just the ZR1?
I don't recall seeing this TSB that seems to indicate the problem exists beyond the ZR1s. There was a discussion over in C6 General. Thanks to GlenB for sending me the info. Has anyone seen the TSB 00-03-10-006F? Would be interested in the "Electronic Vibration Analyzer" ..........

I also found TSB 00-03-10-006F May 4, 2010, but it won't print the work out sheet
Information on Tire Radial Force Variation (RFV)
It address' vibration issues using an Electronic Vibration Analyzer and it has a workout sheet to fill out.

09 Coupe
One of my friends at our Club meeting tonight brought up that his 09 Coupe was vibrating between 78-82. Obviously not the rotors @ the ZR1s.................................... .

Vibration is caused by an out of balance rotating component. That includes rotors (steel or cc), wheels, tires.
Tires are a common cause, so is carbon ceramic rotors on the ZR1 and Z07.

I've got a 2010 and have taken the wheels off to clean the inside drums with no regards for how they went back several times. So far I have never had an issue. Also had a flat repair on the passenger rear and all is good.
Go figure.

Need to be a bit specific about this - is your 10 a ZR1? Only photo of your ride is the avatar and it doesn't look like a ZR1. This problem is likely ZR1 specific.

Just picked up my 2010 ZR1 last night...I tried cruising at all speeds up to 100 mph and it's as smooth as butter..Thank God!!..I found the car was wondering a bit so I stopped checked and there was only 22 lbs of air in all 4 tires.

It's showing up in non ZRs too. There was a thread in C6 General and I have a friend with a 09 Coupe experiencing the same thing Who are you asking about the ZR/avatar?

Just trying to find out if Nofake has a ZR1 or not.
My take on the non ZR's is that anyone can have an issue with allignment or wheel out of balance and it won't be related to the ZR1 isssue. Didn't someone post that in the thread you're referring to?

Jake has a ZR twin like me to his GS---I thought it is his ZR in the avatar There were a few posts in that thread, and where I got the TSB info from. I brought it up occurring in other cars because some of it could be common issues. I had vibration in my 04 Coupe

"Are you talkin' to ME?" Insert Robert De Niro voice here....
Probably would have been easier to check my posts than to put up with my sarcasm 2u
Sorry. I'll be serious... Yes, serial number 410 in the registry and my wife's GS Vert doesn't have any issues either.

Hi Range,
Hope you are getting some serious track time. We are going to Spring Mountain again! This time my wife will be driving. Should be fun.

I'm jealous, Pocono/Summit Point will have to do this year. Memorial Day weekend (Sat/Sun/Mon) will probably kill my Hoosiers.

We'll be heading east, making a 600 mile road run for a 3 day car show and doing a little AutoX for fun. These cars are so much fun.
Safe driving

Hmmmmm
Car has been sitting for two weeks. Took it out on the same route I had the intense Vibration issue with when it was last out-NOTHING out of the norm this trip. Vibration was slight-nothing more than I would attribute to the low profile tires.......................
#259
Just did that today put 30 psi cold in all four tires and went out on the hwy and tried cruising at all speeds up to 100 mph and the the ZR1 was butter smooth..Thank God it didn't vibrate as 90% of my driving is on the hwy at speeds between 60-80 mph..The vibration would have drove me crazy..I feel bad about the ones that do have that problem and knowing GM is doing nothing about it.

Got a call yesterday from the service advisor that my car will be ready Friday 06 Jan late afternoon (at the dealer since Dec21st),
Today 07 Jan very happy I drove with my wife to finally take the car back (50 miles 1 way).
The good: The car was cleaned and protected by car Butler for free to compensate me for the trouble.
The not so good, well the bad:
I drove the car and I immediately felt the vibration worst than before between 74 to 80 mph (Did not go over 80), you can see the steering wheel shaking. I went back to the garage, I asked to speak to the tech D...who took care of the car and ask him to come with me for a ride. Again 74 to 80 vibrations, he acknowledged it, I asked him why he gave me the car back again for the second time. He said that they calibrated the Hunter balancing machine to be sure and rebalanced the wheels within GM spec for the ZR1 and he drove the car and did not felt the vibration up to 65mph. He told me that he was/is not allowed to drive above 65mph...
I left the car again.
Here is one possible explanation, GM is aware of the problem from day one on my car, early 2011 they put these unbalanced rotors (run out of the good ones) on the car, at the factory they tried to compensate by balancing the wheels but these problems are not so simple so they cannot correct it 100% with weight on the wheels. With the dealer doing a good job balancing the wheels the vibration become worse and expose the rotors issue! What do you think?

1. GM to buy back the car with no deduction for use or mileage.
2. Payment to include $6000 compensation for undervaluing your trade-in.
3. Your DMV registration fees will be refunded.
4. My fees will be paid.
I will wait for the C7 before looking at GM again. See attached my new baby 991 Carrera S cabrio.
