I have a c6 Z06 lowered on aftermarket bolts and I also have an aftermarket front lip... I'm moving into a new house witch has a rolled curb driveway



Just thought I would ask the forum what my best bet would be to get my car in and out the driveway with out causing damage . It does not have to be a permanent solution as I usually only drive the car once or twice a week and I have a daily driver.


I was thinking about the bridjit system but not sure it would work in my situation. I would like to get some feedback before I shell out $400

I am interested in seeing what people use as well. Since they paved my road and did not bother to mill it down first I now scrape.

I don't think my HOA would allow any sort of modification to my sidewalk so I'm screwed in that regard. My fix is backing into my driveway. I never seem to scrape backing in vs. driving in front-ways. It's a bit of a PIA, but it saves my air dam from damage.

Although I'm not lowered, my driveway poses a similar issue. I pull in and out at an angle, and that works for me. I just can't have any other cars in the driveway, as I've got to start at one corner and aim for the opposite one.

me too, angle works.

HOA's will not let me use ramps, at least leaving them out on the curb. I pull in and out at a 45 deg. angle and do not rub.

You can take that driveway easy on a angle. You just have to be careful.

In addition they only weigh 16 ibs each so I put them back in the garage if I'm going to be gone for a while.

Same set up here. I wasn't going to spend $400 plus shipping for a set of recycled rubber tire ramps. I built mine for less that $40 out of wood too, zero issues so far.

My Z is lowered and I just take it at an angle and don't scrape going in. I would never spend $300-400 for some rubber ramps. I tried to talk to our builder about modifying my car but they said no.

I'm in the same position though not I'm not lowered. I back into the driveway every day and I'm good. Though for some random *** reason when pulling out recently, my exhaust tips scraped, at least that is underneath and I don't hurt my eyes seeing it all that often.

Trying also to see if our builder (house is still being built) can ease the slope.

if it helps any i made an awesome ramp all across the front of my driveway because i have the exact same curb driveway as you.
i had a local settl shop cut me 6 peices of 1/4 plate steel measuring 36"x48" they weigh about 90 lbs each and then i painted them with rubberized body undercoating.
i can almost drive straight onto my driveway with a Zr1 style splitter and not hit anything. i take a slight angle and its perfect!
it cost me about 480 bucks for the steel and they are so heavy i dont need to worry about them walking off.
also because they are black you dont really notice them sitting at the edge of the road, it looks like its part of the road.

i also mounted them on a 2x6 pad that sits on the asphalt so it wont damage the street when the weather is hot.

I have a couple terrible driveways/dips in my neighborhood and it's all about the angle that you take it at. Looks like yours would be best almost completely sideways while turning the wheels towards your house. It will get right up and over no problem. I've gone through some of the worst angles imaginable and the only thing I've ever scraped is that lower air dam under the car. Just takes lots of practice (I daily drove mine for a few months)

I know this is an old post, but I am in the same situation with the rolled curbs here in McKinney. I just bought a C6, but am a couple of weeks away getting it, and have been wondering how the rolled curbs will work out. My neighbor across the street has a C4 and scrapes when backing out to the street.
Can you tell me what you ended up doing? Angling in? Some kind of ramp? Backing in?
