Drew,
I am curious about one thing. I have heard a couple of guys say that they put on the NT05R's and they had no grip at all. I took this as to mean that they were trying to get a new tire with the mold release intact to bite which, I think won't happen. Unfortunately, they pulled the tires off right away and said that they were junk. Did you notice the tires picking up grip with a couple of hundred miles on them or was that not the case. Another thing guys is you have to compare his experience with the NT05's in relation to where he lives. Cold temps and AIR DENSITY. I live at 2600' in hot temps and I thought my car was pretty fast. This winter I took a trip with the wife to SoCal and got a chance to do a lot of driving in the Malibu area. HOLY CRAP!!! My car became an absolute monster. I could even drive around in 6th gear at 40 MPH and pass people easily by just rolling on the throttle. Couldn't come close to doing that at home.

I didn't even get on the car until I put 40-50miles on the new tires just because I wanted to wear off any greases or anything before I went WOT but they hook really well I won't buy another rear tire for the car besides these again. They worked so good I convinced my uncle to get them for his geared/supercharged LS2 C6 with Z06 rear widebody he saw how it felt before/after the tires.

In similar weather and same road I would spin pretty good in 1st on my NT05 Street tires with t/c off and with my NT05R's my car dead hooks not doing a burnout/spinning either of them before the pulls.

Only time I have any "traction issues" is slamming 2nd but its like 50-60* here so I'll hold judgement on that until it get 80ish here

Heres the NT05R's 1st gear from like 20 or 25ish no burnout/spinning before hand with it being like 50* out

Drew,
How was the fitment? Did it rub anywhere or set off any codes? Are you running stock size in the front?

Fits great with no codes or rubbing issues. I have 285/35/18 NT05 Street Tires up front, but for about a month I ran the OEM Goodyears up front

I agree with LS7Drew...the tires are awesome. I orginally got them to just run occasionally when we went to "Mexico" but now I leave them on all of the time. I have a H/C car that makes about 580 rwhp corrected and they are the best thing that I have done to the car. We are usually at about 6000ft to 10000ft DA so I am not making near 580 rwhp but they will hook in 2nd gear from a roll on every time. I just had a little "go" with a Cobra on Saturday and it was about 45 degrees and they held a 2nd gear punch very well considering how cold it was. They do throw rubber dust on the back of the car but it is nice to know that your tires will dead hook about anywhere you go. When the weather is hotter they will do very well holding the car from a dead stop and through 1st gear. They fit great and as mentioned look good from the back of the car.

Good to hear how they work on H/C Z's as that's the route I'd like to go maybe next year! Ya they do dust pretty good I dust off/wipe down my car every other day though since I DD it.
I did break them loose from a 30 punch last weekend but it was only like 40* and tires weren't fully warmed up but still controllable

I am really surprised to see all these positve comments about these tires...I ran them for about 1 month and hated them! I sold them and got 18x12 rims and run a 345/35 18 Mickey Thomson now. They hooked good, but anything over 100mph, they would sway all over the place. I took the car to the track (28psi) and let off every time before I even hit the end of the 1/4 mile because the sway would scare me too bad. Just my 2 cents.

I did notice at about 22-23PSI they did sway a little on the top end. But I run 26-28psi (depending if they are full warmed up) in them on the street and have been 100+ multiple times with them with no issues (in mexico of course)
