This pass was made as the car comes from Chevrolet, On the stock Michelin tires. SHOWROOM STOCK, BONE STOCK, NOT a single modification!
Dec 18 2011 at MIR in Budds Creek Md, the weather was great for making the power as drag times says the DA was -1449, the problem was the traction on the stock tires was limited because it was very cloudy all day and track temp was lower than we like to have for maximum traction, especially with stock tires. That being said, I did get a couple passes where it hooked up on a good fast throttle squeeze.
1.689.............................60'
4.602.............................330'
6.951@105.29.................1\8 mile
8.964.............................1000'
10.664@132.92................1/4 mile

Wow, and congrats. Amazing driving of an amazing car. Your 0-100 mph time must have been well below 6.5 seconds as well.

Wow, congrats! 6s in 1/8 on street tires!!! Just to confirm, this isn't even on Sport Cups? Which have a lower treadwear rating and would assume yield an even better 60', have you considered trying them?

This is on the original set of PS2's that came on the car in 09. I have contemplated the cup's though.

What is most amazing about this time is the track conditions it was done in. While I am not the driver (shifter) that Kyle is, usually I can get a good launch and 60' times as I have pulled a 1.68 and 1.70 before. Usually doing slightly better (60') than Kyle on stock tires. On this day I was baffled by the cold track and could never get a good launch or a clean run. How Kyle pulled off those launches is a mystery to me. I even went out right after his runs and still had no luck. It really was a great piece of driving by Kyle.

Amazing and well done, I agree though, a bit tough to swallow the stock tire bite and nose lift. Swaybar removed maybe??
Really though, awesome and well done

Nope, the sway bar is still there. The magnaride shocks go soft for a launch and help for that type of weight transfer.

Neil and I have discussed this some before.....we arent sure how the cup is going to react to a burnout for heat up. But if anyone wants to donate a set to me id be more than happy to mount them up and do some testing!

A 1.68 is no joke and I would be suprised to see too much improvement over that.
