Which is louder with the flaps open?

I'm interested in this as I don't get chance to hear exhausts in the flesh.

Is the Akra louder than stock with valves closed?

I have had both. Currently have the Fusions. Both are louder than stock with flaps closed. Both have a deeper sound then stock with flaps closed. Which one you chose is up to the individual. I like my Fusions better than he Akras but a friend has the Akra's and likes them better. Go to You Tube and listen to both.. Mike

I did a last minute detour and ordered a Borla ATAK. I NEVER close the flaps with the stock muffler mod as it stands now.

FUSIONS ARE MUCH SMOOTHER. Akrapovic SOUNDS BROKEN.

I went from B&B Fusions with HF Cats to Akrapovics with no cats. They both sound great, but the Akra's without cats wins the contest. I suspect they would be very similar if they both had cats. I like the weight savings of titanium.

Akra is definitely louder in the closed mode vs stock.

I picked up fusions to compare to the ATAK. The ATAK is noticeably louder, overall. With the flaps open, the fusions aren't any louder than the stock muffler mod, IMO. They do have a better tone, though. I thought the fusions would be louder with the flaps open. I'll probably go back to the ATAK, but I'm gonna drive around with the Fusions a bit more before I make my final decision.

Akras were the one I chose after hearing both of them in person.... To me, it sounds more exotic
