Default Corvette ZR1 (vs) LP700-4

It's not a right way to compare but it's interesting

Interesting video to watch for sure. Impressive considering the power and cost difference that the ZR1 kept up as well as it did. Would've been even closer with a slow 5-6 shift really hurting the ZR1 as it neared 300kph. I have to say that digital tach and gear indicator on the Lambo is really cool looking too.

Sorry, but that is just a ridiculous attempt at a comparison and means nothing.

Racer do you ever have anything positive to say? You complain or say something negative about almost every post someone makes!

Sorry I am not a "yes" man. Do you think that was a good comparison? Do I not get to have an opinion? Here is what I call a good comparison. Look you can actually see the cars go down the road.

Wow, except for the post I made here and some defending the ZR1, I went back 50 posts and saw nothing of what you said? Why say things that are untrue, do you not like me for some reason? Anyways, here is the first page of my recent posts I just copied and pasted. Clearly not what you are accusing me of.

It is impressive indeed, a lot of money, but nonetheless, this is a quick and a fast car, nobody can deny it.

I like the ZR-1 as much as the next guy, but the Aventador is a whole other animal. No chance for the Z.

The Aventador seems to be a fab machine.

Looks pretty hot as well.

For the same amount of money you have a choice between the Lexus LFA or the Lambo Aventador

I will let Paris Hilton have the LFA....... the Aventador is so much more performance they are not even in the same league

ZR1s are fast enough for me the other supercars are quicker, but the ZR1 wins for dollar for dollar performance. Now, the new Shelby GT500 is said to have 650 hp, but the last model had a staggering 550 hp, but it seems like it didnt use it all, so the ZR1 may remain king as the dollar for dollar champ.

Fixed it. That Mustang is no challenger to the ZR1.

12 more hp will not overcome 500 lbs and no aero.

Yeah I've driven both the zr1 and 2011 gt500. The mustang seems so much slower due to lack of traction. While solid axle can be fun, it just doesn't seem to get moving. For the new gt500, they had better put independent rear suspension and some damn wide tires. I've never understood why those cars have such skinny tires.

Think they counted on the extra weight keeping it hooked up lol...imho the 2013 GT500 will be a drivers race in a straight line with a C6Z

I honestly don't think Ford intended the GT500 (or ANY Mustang for that matter) to go up against any Corvette. I think the appropriate (and intended) competition is the Camaro. I think Ford wanted the new GT500 to outshine the ZL1.

Now if you wanted to compare apples to apples, I think possibly the Ford GT vs the ZR1 is a more appropriate comparison, both in price and performance objectives.
