Default Missing trackdays

Sorry I've been away for a while

Had my hands full w projects

Finally getting my Z06 back from Katech on Monday & I'll be signing up for tons of track events to get back into my groove.

I made the mistake of allowing my local mechanic to build an engine, well that ended when it siezed on the 1st track weeken

So from now on if it doesnt say Katech its not running in my Z

and btw this baby followed me home last week, felt sorry for it so I took it in. Buy American I know its not a Vette but I think she'll do

From an 07 Z06 to a Ford GT40....... why buy the Z in the first place when you have that kind of $$$

Either way, nice addition to the family !

As much as I love my Z, I'd give it up in a nanosecond for a Ford GT.

It is right now except for the iPod cable, 2005 w 2400 miles

Definately tracking the GT but the Z w traction control will probably always be faster

Eventually I'll tune the supercharger on the GT, get a big brake kit, maybe I'll strap a nice big fat wing to her but

FGTs are drop dead stunning. I've tracked in a group of guys, one of whom has one and tracks it. They are very capable cars.

Great add to the stable.

Congrats.

My first mod on my GT was the Kenne Bell supercharger snout/pulley - good for 100 horse. I eventually went with the big Whipple though....

Stock for stock the Z is a tad quicker around a track.

The GT looks sweet! Just put that thing on the truck and send it back to us. Brembo brakes, big wing, a little tuning on the engine...yea sounds fun.

You are going to love how we Katech-ized your Z06. I could post some pics of the amazing Home Depot craftsmanship of the other shops. We revised the cooling and oiling systems. The radiator was leaking air everywhere so to correct the hot oil temperature they (the shop) put an oil cooler system behind the fog lights and plumbed it with brass fittings from home depot. They also chopped the frame with a saws-all and installed a tow hook by air chiseling in the frame. Oil lines were routed through the control arms band brake ducts rubbing on the wheels. We basically re-did the whole front of the car. Now its a proper race car.

I hope you can make it to our Track Attack event in July. We would love to have you there.

wow between that shop and the one i read about in the zr1 section where the shop just added stock length hardened pushrods in place of stockers that bent due to different cam lobe size it is unbelievable some of the hack shops out there.

Havent been tracking my ZO6 much lately either, as been out of town for work a lot. Guy in our track group brought out a white/blue Ford GT like yours, couple times, and things a real beauty. Was a young guy, said it was his, not bragging about it, so probably was. Had a different exhaust on it, and was bad az.

Yeah, but I dont know if I can use my Z as a DD anymore. You guys made it too crazy

Tail end steps out w a little stab of throttle w the traction control on race

Cant wait to get her back on the track

Probably get the GT on the track by May once I can get new wheels & slicks for it
