By dropping the rear around 1/2" as indicated above does this require a realignment?

Don't forget that you picked up about 1/2 degree of negative camber all around and added nearly a 1/2 inch of toe out up front and 1/4 inch in the rear by lowering the car.

I fixed my toe out while the car was on the lift with toe plates and a tape measure. I forgot to count the flats it took, but somewhere in the past someone posted the number of turns that it takes to correct that amount of toe out at both ends.

You don't have to remove the wheels to adjust the bolts.

And coilovers FTW!!

-Once tension is taken off (via lifting on the spring with floor jack....maybe an inch or so), take a 10mm ratchet to the bolt, turning it counter clockwise until it no longer turns. I was able to get approx 2 1/2 turns out of each.
-Remove floor jack from leaf spring, put wheel back on, do the same thing on opposite side front. Then do the same on the rear.

I didnt have any wd-40 handy, but if i did, i would have sprayed a dab on each bolt prior to turning. I only have ~6k miles and 3 of the 4 bolts were a little 'dry'.
Use a rag or a block of wood between the floor jack saddle and the spring. You don't want to nick the surface of the spring. Damaging the surface, such that the fiberglass is exposed, can cause moisture to be absorbed by the glass and lead to delamination.

Was this on stock bolts or an aftermarket bolt? Curious, because I too am going from spiders to 19/20s.

Lowered on Eibach lowering bolts ($75). Didn't want to use stock lowering bolts and cut the bushings. Cutting the bushings can create a noise when cornering hard as I found out the hard way with my 08 Z at the track.

How long ago did you install the eibach bolts? Some people say they get trashed after like a year.

And Where did you get them?

What I started with before I lowered all the way, and after settling, is STILL the same height as it was 40+ days ago.

FL 26.50
FR 26.25

RL 27.50
RR 27.50

I am starting to think it may have something to do with the Magnetic Ride shocks.

hmmm.. same as me. Guess i need to order aftermarket lowering bc it isn't where i want it.. as far as low enough. But, i don't think mag ride has anything to do with it, although someone more knowledgeable may say it does? Thanks for the reply bc you validated my ride height.

Do you have Magnetic Ride?

When I lowered my bolts, they were all sitting high for some time until I did some hard acceleration and braking. But they still have not gone below where I started out. So, I "lowered" it, but it sits right where I started.

I don't think I have magnetic ride. Mine is an 07, if that matters.... I drove it yesterday after I posted originally and it is the same height.

If I lower my GS on stock bolts ONLY on the rear, will I need to have it aligned?

I would at least have it checked (or check it yourself with a tape inserted in a tread front and back and measured to the same tread on the other side). I got more movement on toe rather than the camber.

I am starting to think it may have something to do with the Magnetic Ride shocks.
I have not adjusted mine in any way, I have a Grand Sport Centennial Edition.
It measures 26 exactly on both fronts and 27.5 on both backs.
I wonder why my front is lower than your Z06? Maybe the GS is lower in the front on the Centennial.
I am not looking to drop the front any just the rear but it seems like people are having trouble getting it to drop with the magnetic ride....
