Default GMPP Warranty - Canada

Hey guys, looking to do a price check to see what others paid for their extended GMPP warranty in Canada (Edmonton - Alberta).

Was quoted $3321.00 for the 7 years 100k kms, 100 dollar deductible package. My car is a 2009, which gives me 4 years remaining on the GMPP plan.

Does the pricing sound in-line with everyone else's experience?

Contact RichieRichZ06 here on the forum, he works at a GM dealer and can give some pretty good deals on GMPP from what I understand.

You cant put an american extended warranty on a Canadian car.

I got mine from Brian Hay, Corvette guru at Wilson Niblett Chevy in Toronto......... more like $2800

^ Yeah thats what I thought... however the car is from the US (imported by my local chevy dealership and sold through them). The pricing ($3300) they gave me was for canadian warranty through GM.

Doesn't matter where it came from. GMPP is a service contract between you and the GMPP division of GMAC which is a bank and is no longer part of GM. You have to buy the contract for the country you are living in.

List price for the 7 yr/100k km's - $100 deductible on my 2009 Z06 was $3376.00. My local dealer said they'd knock $300 off the list price.

That price was in Nov 2011.

I got a quote when I first picked the car up in March 2011 and the same coverage listed for $2976, which they where also going to knock $300 off of.

Bit of a jump in cost in less than a years time.

Later,
Brad
