Default [Video] Zr1 C6.R drag race.

I always wondered how this would turn out. Came across it and figured I would share it with you ZR1 guys.

Too bad we couldn't see time and speed though.

It couldn't of been a quarter mile unless they edited some. I know that the C6R can change the gearing to be set for the quarter but I still wouldn't think it would beat a ZR with the power difference. I would like to actually like to see the ET and Mph of the C6r and see how it stacks up against Kyle's time and some of the other good drivers times.

Traction, weight, and paddle shifting seems like it would be enough to make up for power deficient. That's Spring Mountain and there should of been enough distance for a 1/4 mile race. You can hear the C6R rapidly downshifting to slow down after the finish line cone.

I do thinking Ranger or Kyle or Fartpipe or any of the other guys on the fast list could of made it much closer if not win outright.

The PTM comparison video on the first page of the test article is also very interesting.

Thanks, ChevyCobb! Good video, but I liked reading the article and the PTM video better! Thanks for the link.

It's the weight/gearing of the C6.R - the ZR1 never had a chance.

Weight plays a big role, but REALLY the difference is in the sequential transmission. A real race preppared sequential transmission is worth as much or more than the HP difference between the 2 cars in terms of time.

I have drove Porsche's and BMW's with sequentials that will walk cars with 200 more HP. That is one of the reasons real drag racers use automatic transmissions.
