FYI I spoke with Rick from Springmountain today about a couple of issues and discussions that we were having here. One thing I brought up was the laptimes between the ZR1 and Z06. He said that on the 2.2 mile course that they run the ZR1 is about 2 seconds faster than the Z06. But to be fair that is a comparioson with the Z06 and not the Z07 which R&T tested but they do run the PS2's on the Z06 instead of the Goodyear that come on them. Although he did tell me that they just got their first Z07 in and were itching to test it. I told him to let us know how the numbers come out with the Z07. I will say maybe a second faster on that track maybe more. I'm sure that the Z07 will definitely be closer to the ZR1 times.

The "fair" comparison would be running cup tires on both cars. You can't compare the Z07 against the ZR1 with PS2's.

With the same tires I'll predict the ZR1 will still be faster on the 2.2 mile course.

Does anyone really care about the gas mileage? I have a 2011 ZR1 and I could care less what the MPG's are. If your worried about that between a Z06 and ZR1 just go buy a Volt.

Actually, I'm trying to work a deal on a 2010 ZR1 that the owner traded in for a 2011 Z06 Carbon edition....stickers and all!
