Default How much brake dust with CC rotors ?

Just wondering if there's more or less brake dust with the CC brakes over the metal ones ?

The Z06 would show dust after literally a couple of miles, the CC brakes = no dust...

IF it is a daily driver and you have done the burnishing it will dust. That said it is very low compared to the Z06. My Z06 after 250 miles of daily use the chrome wheels were very brown. My ZR has silver painted and after 500 miles they are still silver but darker and not shiny.

Not much dust from ZR's brakes, which is really nice.

Get Hawk ceramic pads. you will have minimal brake dust, and equal performance.

Not a DD for sure I'll maybe put 500 miles in a month or two...Thats awesome 500 miles and still silver!!..My Z06 use to turn the whole side of the car with a dark dust let alone the rims...Heck this alone is worth the trade..Lol

That mod makes way too much sense, but it may void your powertrain warranty...

I spent $40K plus my Z for dust free pads and so should you...

No brake dust with the ZR which makes the carbon fiber wheels I have extremely easy to clean. Thankfully my Z has comp gray wheels since it dusts moderately heavy. My wife's Cayenne, on the other hand, blackens the wheels again by the time I put the wash bucket and hose away...

You could have bought a set of these Dust Covers from Kleen Wheelz for you Z06 in yellow for 80bucks set of 4. & Kept your mighty fine Z06 and your 40k.

Even though you don't need them for your Zr1 - in this sample pic the dust covers are blue- that blue behind Chromes would look outstanding on white.

Try a set of these Dust covers as Seen on a Monte Carlo Supersport from Kleen Wheelz on your Z.
