Default Dyno numbers Widow-R / Texas-Speed PRC LS7 heads / Fast 102 / Boltons 600+rwhp N/A

What's up guys !!!

Last night we finished tuning an amazing N/A setup
it actually the most powerful ZO6 I've ever build.

07 C6ZO6 about 15k on it stock LS7 bottomend
Mods:

Vararam CAI.
Kooks 1.7/8 headers ORX.
Borla Stingers catback.
(Made 501rwhp 474rwtq with these mods with our tune)

after that we added these parts:

Black Widow-R camshaft from the man Carlos (THANKS Amigo )
I believe from what Carlos told me this is the new aggressive version..

Texas-Speed PRC Ported LS7 heads milled to 68cc
(Huge Thanks to everyone at TSP for amazing heads , fast shipping and great prices like always..

Fast 102mm Intake untouched.
NW 102mm TB.
Fast Fuel Rails.
Spec Twin disc clutch (pedal feels very heavy for some reason I don't like how the car drives but hold the power like a champ )
NX Nitrous system
Tuned by Husam Tayib @ MC-Performance in Jeddah,Saudi Arabia
and did an amazing work.

N/A Numbers 603rwhp 539rwtq 91octane 90F
125shot 725rwhp 690rwtq on 109VP Fuel

The car pulls like a freaking train in all gears 1st and 2nd are worthelss even with Hoosier (about a year old though) NTO5R tires coming next week hope it will be much better....

What I love about the setup is that is still drives great very little surging at low RPM's ...
I hate the Borla though it will blow your ears off if you drive 60-70mph in 6th.

Huge Thanks to everyone at Texas-Speed (Trevor )
Carlos my man for great camshaft
Seth at HinsonSupercars for all the help
Our tuner Husam
Our mechanic/friend for the clean instllation.

and myself for choosing this setup

I'll try to get some pics and vids...

Sam.

Those are awesome numbers on 1 7/8 headers, untouched FAST 102 and 91 octane and in 90 degree temps

There is prolly at least 15-25 more rwhp with 2" headers, porting that FAST and 93 octane. And even more on E85.

I can't wait to get my widow-r in with some of Carlos's XR heads in 14:1 compression on E85 and see what she does lol.

Thanks man, I totally agree porting the intake and headers will gain atleast 15rwhp and similer TQ

With your setup 14:1 I'd be very very angry if the car didnt make atleast 630rwhp 570rwtq

Keep us posted

If I'm not mistaken the compression is between 11:4 - 11:5
I'll get the graph when I get to the shop tomorrow or Thursday.

considering how big the cam is the car drives very nice I'm sure the tune plays a huge factor in this though we street tuned the car for 3-5 hourse for the best drivability

Thanks Bruce
I really wish but I don't think we're going to see a 1/4 runs from this car very soon the nearest track is over 900+miles away from us and I don't think the owner is willing to travel this time.

But who knows !!!

We tuned another similer setup H/C Nitrous C6ZO6 739rwhp and ran 9.5@146mph

Sam...

Congrats, and great job!

As far as the cam, yes, it is an aggressive cam [widow R], but you wouldn't know it by the way it drives.

I tried like heck for months to develop something worth carrying the widow R label BUT at the same time not scaring away a large segment of would be buyers.

You’re correct Mr. Venomws7, the Widow R drives drive much better than one would expect for a cam with very tight LSA’s and aggressive durations and the super mean thumpyness. It is all in the valve event timing!!!

603/539 in 90*F heat running 11.4cr with crappy gas and poor elevation is very, very strong. Again, many congratulations to you and your tuner. Amigo, all being equal, adding some E85, porting the intake then curving timing and fueling for the set up will net you at least some 625’s and 560’s to the tires.

Perhaps now you can further understand how and why many of us who are closer to sea level running 12.25cr (X-heads) and 93oct or 12.3cr and higher with E85 are making 635rwhp and beyond and yet be able to drive everywhere.

Thanks,
Carlos

XR heads with 13.8CR and higher is Carlos' personal Z levels And we all know what my car makes on average...

Also remember this: which tuner stepped out of the box over two years ago and began offering everyday E85 set ups for these C6 powerplants

Thanks,
Carlos

Yeah its still on my slate of cams I'm considering. The slow speed bucking and surging dosent really bother me, that's part of the fun of having a cam. The only thing thats the deciding factor is how well it does at 65-70 mph cruising speeds, because I drive a lot of distance and how much general lift so I know how often to put fresh springs in . Anyone care to share if they have this cam on the stated criteria.

Thanks again Amigo for great work on the cam we're extremely happy with the choice..

630+rwhp can be easily done with better fuel, weather and more compression IMO we still have 10-15rwhp with our setup ported fast intake , bigger headers and maybe better flowing catback (Borla looks small before and after the mufflers.??

The only time my car with the Widow cam bucks at those speeds is if their is zero load on the motor. I may get a little surge here and there but it usually only happens if the highway starts to descend. The springs should be changed every 20k miles roughly.
