There will NOT be a 3.73 gear set.
I'm breathlessly awaiting the gear set before pulling the rear diff from my car which is whining pretty good. Next week is November so hopefully we get positive news soon for the availability

I read your post in the C7 section about some issues with the gears for the C7 crowd during testing.....did this same issue have any impact on the gears for the C6 ?

You guys really get your panties in a wad over the z case for 3.90 gears on your 6-700 cars. I make 1200+ rwhp on an rpm built C5 diff and beat the **** out of it. Yes I drag race it too, I think you guys will be just fine.

You would be the only one to have 3.90 gears in the C6 Z06 case. Tell us all how you got them and who manufactures them.

Other Z06s have had 3.90 gears but they were put in a C6 case, not the Z06 case.

Tell us more about your unique 3.90 Z06 gearset.

Joe, I don't have a problem about the 3.90/4.10 gears in the C6 case for a well built dif. I was just responding to the guy that claims he has 3.90s in his C6 Z06 dif.

That guy has to have a base diff, which as joe said, has no issues, especially at <1200hp

I think Joe's point is other gears have been available for years now so this waiting seems a bit silly. You can have a set of 4.10s in next week if you want.

Waiting for years, Id say yes maybe a bit silly, for guys just wanting a better gear for their street car.

For those like me who have recently discovered a need to repair the diff and at the same time move to a better gears, no need to spend $3500 plus shipping when this rear gear set comes out.

I think one of the main reasons GM went to the larger ring gear was for the road race guys - with the smaller regular C5/C6 ring and pinion they were over heating the rear end. Power could be another reason but I thought I remember reading that in one of those promotion things they came out with 11 years ago when car first came out.

I believe everyone who drag races and cuts serious 60' times (I'd say 1.5X or better) has spoken to RPM about using their modified rear ends, and the consensus from Jeremy and Shane was that they didn't feel comfortable for racers who use radial drag slicks....not enough "cushion" to the rear end when launching. Most drag racers who use the RPM rear end have moved to stiff wall bias ply slicks and/or upgraded to the 15" spindle kits so they can run a bigger side wall bias slick.

I have over 3,000 miles on the C6 Z06-ZR1 4.10 ring and pinion gear set.

My ring and pinion were mounted on a WaveTrac differential unit and they are in a C6 ZR1 differential housing. There is absolutely no noise. I am loving the combination!

LOL share the love my friend.

i am traveling to the States this weekend would have saved a packet on frieght costs if ready to hit the market and i could have got my hands on it. Dubai is a long way to air freight a ring and pinion.
