Hi folks, first post here. I recently became the owner of a 2006 Z06 with 20k miles.

I looked at the “assembled with pride” plate on the engine and noticed the name was crossed off with a sharpie and some initials were written next to it. I didn’t have much luck using the search to locate an answer. Anyone seen something like this before? Not sure if it left the factory like this or it was done afterwards, for whatever reason...

Probably done by someone who modded the chit out of it, or it was done as a joke.

Might be beneficial to post this in the "who built your engine" sticky thread. Someone from the build center might be able to say whether or not that would have been an acceptable practice from the factory (although that doesn't guarantee that someone might not still do it).
