Dibs on the hood after you break it

In all seriousness, we have not tinkered with it. We put a new hood on the car with the louvers installed.

Is there clearance for the stock blower under the B92 CF hood, either as is, or with a bit of trimming underneath?

Maybe it just me, but I think the window makes the car unique in its own way.

yeah...its just you..
nah, dont get me wrong, I love the car, but I just see that hood window as a cheap attempt to mimic the exotics...I dont see it as being unique in any way especially to a vette...

now in no way would this stop me from owning 1, I would just immediately replace the hood (and wheels )

I dislike the window a lot also but love the shape of the hood. I am looking for and trying to buy a used 427 vert hood or a carbon hood which s the same hood without the window for my ZO6.

I would have rather the hood had louvers to allow more heat to escape; the window doesn't do anything for functionality,
just "bling" as has been said.

I preferred the standard painted silver aluminum wheels, but have grown to really like the chromies that came on mine.
They go nicely with the JSB and the exposed CF roof.

Everyone has the right to their opinion.

I can understand the wheels, I'm not a fan of them either this is why I'm looking at these pictured below.

I agree with the fact we need some sort of heat extractors in the hood instead of a non functional window indeed

Yeah, it has to fit since the outside is the same shape as the stock ZR1 hood. However, it appears that you’d have to trim out the underside carbon fiber panel to clear the intercooler without damaging the outside hood panel.

Then your ZR1 will look like this:

All carbon fiber would be hot.

Personally I love the window and the chromies and the bling. The window is synonymous with being the KING - the best vette ever and the only one with the window.

Other than the LS9, the hood window is just about the only piece from the ZR1 that GM hasn't made available as an option on every other Corvette. I like mine just fine!

So I am banging my head against the wall right now. No one wants to touch it. I've talked to 2 bodyshops and 2 glass companies and they won't touch it. So I called the dealer and after arguing with him that it was a carbon fiber hood on the ZR1 and not fiberglass he said its something they wouldn't do either.

Take it to a glass company. Its held in with windshield adhesive. That's who removed mine.

I'll call some more of them. How much did they charge you to remove it and why did you remove yours?
