Anti venom mod for C6 ZO6?
Tried search but no threads...The C5 manual tranny has a way of reducing the shifter notchiness by adding a washer to the shifter detent plug..Anyone try it on the C6 z06?? Can it even done?
TIA.
TIA.

Interesting...if it's a '06-'07 with T56, that's essentially the same trans from the C5Z. In theory, it should be the same process. On '08+ with the TR6060, I have no clue.

Guys:
I have been chatting with Tai (OP) about this mod on the C6's.
On C5's when installing a short throw shifter it will increase the shifter throw effort (just by nature of it being a shorter throw).
On the C5z's and C5's in general its rather easy to pull the detent plug and shim it with a copper washer.
This will reduce the shifter effort, and reduce the "notchiness" in the shifter throw between gears.
I never knew that the C6Z's transmissions changed from 08 forward.
If the 06-07 6 speeds are similar to the C5's then it might be something that is easily done.
If anyone has any thoughts on the 08+ 6 speeds I would love to hear if its possible.
I have the C5 Anti Vonom mod instructions on my web site.

Melting Slicks
i did it on my 07 z
have stock lower shifter base
OLD (orig) version of the mgw shifters with the race ****......its amazing
i sold my new version flat stick that came with the billet lower box in order to do this mod along with the 1st mgw shifter..
my shifts land right between the flat stick and oem.....not too notchy , but VERY precise and the gate is easy to navigate
lmk if you need anything else.
i did this on my c5z after reading it on toques old mod list........man i sure miss my c5z and pics of his car and the mod red

Sounds great. Did you use one washer or two?
