The Best LED Reverse lights Solution from Radioflyer Innovations
Finally C6 corvette owners have a Plug and Play LED option with light output rivals the factory bulbs. Other LED setups have significantly less output than the factory bulbs. These new bulbs feature specifically designed radial LED technology to make the best use of the reflector optics by mimicking the central light source of the OEM bulb (for which the reflector was designed)
White light doesn't just look good, it actually helps you see better. The burning filament of a factory bulb emits a dirty yellow light which is missing some of the colors of the visible spectrum. As a result, objects illuminated by this light appear dull. By comparison, white light consists of all the colors of the visible spectrum. Any object illuminated by white light can reflect its natural color to be seen resulting in a crystal clear image similar what you'd see in direct sunlight.
The result is
- modern look
- pure white light (improves visibility)
- a longer life LED bulb (100,000 hours avg)
- less heat generated
- lower current draw.
Compare factory bulb to the LED bulb:
Lets not forget about wattage. The factory reverse lights are a 3157 variant designed to pull a 27 watts of power. This limits the type of bulb one can install in it's place. High wattage halogens or HID kits pull more power than the circuit is designed to provide making them at best a fuse-popper and at worst a fire hazard. These LED Reverse lights pull just 7 watts making them significantly more efficient than factory.
Those of you that enter car shows will appreciate the instant-on feature of the LED bulbs allowing them to be connected to strobe controllers to get extra attention.
Purchase here for just $40/pair. (pricing good through Sunday Jan 20, 2013)
