I would think that the additional airflow from the Stage 2 CNC porting would warrant a tune, as well as if you have a rise in compression by milling the heads.

A WCCH simple valve job, installation of bronze guides, and replacement of valve springs and valves, would NOT require a tune as they do not alter the engine's breathing capabilities..
Correct. Thats what I did. No tune car runs the same

She's all buttoned up, and they started the preliminary 91 octane tuning last night.
Tuner says the idle at 850 RPM and the exhaust sound is to die for, with the B&B longtubes, Akrapovic titanium x-pipe and factory ZR1 mufflers.

Full 91 tuning session begins this evening at 4:00.....with full bore E85 tuning to begin right afterwards.

Finally, we'll get to see what she can do with the warm 80 degree air here in Phoenix !!!

I'll start a new thread on the final dyno numbers and the debating can commence there

I just went a bought 10 gallons of E85 for the tuning......3.34/gallon vs. 4.04/gallon for 91 .
E85 has about 20% less energy in it than 91 E10 so the cost is about equal. Given that the E85 will give you much more performance and the engine should run cooler and cleaner, not a bad deal.

Yep...not bad at all

I'll see during the course of our summer how much of an inconvienence it will be with access to E85 and my driving habits and destinations. That's why I didn't go a full compression point plus on my milling...to get away with our crappy 91 pump fuel when I have too.

UPDATE !!!!!

New Aeroquip fuel rails and Russel lines and fittings got installed, and everything buttoned back up. I had a MAF issue, specifically the IAT circuit wire, which needed a bit of work, and a torn plugwire boot on #8. The IAT wire is fixed, and I'll grab a new set of wires today or tomorrow. Then, it's back to the shop for a final inspection and another roll on the dyno.....this time with data past 5700 RPM LOL.

The idle is to die for at 850 RPM.....and the greater compression, along with the B&B's, Akrapovic titanium x-pipe, and ZR1 mufflers has done wonders for the exhaust note LOL.....

Just as an fyi...my Torquer is the 110 LSA without the 4 degees of built in advance. In other words, the first gen Torquer

Do you expect that will be better (1st gen Torquer) for our 91 octane gas or will you be going to E85, Victor?

I'm on E85 now

The 2nd gen Torquer has the 4 degrees of advance built in to it....so it gives up a few HP on top for a few extra lbs/ft of torque down low.

For me, I bumped the compression up a bit and moved to E85, so I got all my "extra" torque back....plus I have the top end power of the original 110 LSA

I'm already putting out 500+ lbs/ft at 3600 RPM
