Window won't go all the way up.......
My battery died out and I jumped the car. When I started it up the driver window was giving me problems for the first time. Wouldn't go down then it did, then wouldn't go up then it did. Now it won't close that quarter inch when you close the door. It just won't go all the way up to where it is all the way up.
Any suggestions?

There is a window resetting procedure. I think you roll it all the way down, then all the way up&hold the switch for like 10secs. Then pull up again and hold another 10 secs. Try that real quick.

It's 3 seconds each time.
Courtesy of JimTN's post:
After a power reconnect such as battery replacement, the
window index-up feature will not function until the system
is initialized. Once power is restored, do the following:
1. Close the door.
2. Raise the window by pulling up the switch.
3. Hold the up switch for three seconds after the
window is closed. Release the switch.
4. Hold the up switch again for three seconds and
release.
Remember to do both windows.
This is called resetting of the window indexing or power window initialize and is in the owner's manual. See page 2-17 of the 2005 owner’s manual, page 2-18 of the 2006 owner’s manual, page 87 of the 2007 owner’s manual, page 2-18 of the 2008 owner’s manual, page 2-18 of the 2009 owner's manual, page 3-18 of the 2010 owner's manual, page 2-18 of the 2011 owner's manual, or page 2-19 of the 2012 owner's manual.

Wow thanks guys. I am gonna go out an try that real quick when I get home. Battery died out but I was also changing the steering wheel spokes to carbon fiber so even though the battery died out I disconnected the neg cable so the air bad won't blow up in my face by accident.
You guys are the best. I hope it works.
One more question, what do the stars under our names mean. Some have blue some have gold some have 3 some have 4. What does that mean?

Was not home, and on my i phone so I was just looking for an easy way and an easy solution to my problem. Was a little busy. I will take the advise and check it out next time. I never knew this was a problem and had no idea about the window problem. Was looking for a fast solution.

Wow, I am kinda feeling beat up here for asking a question. Maybe I didn't know to search it or maybe I was just a little lazy. I hope it isn't wrong to ask a dumb question. Sometimes it us just easier to ask than to research. I was just being lazy sorry guys.

Thread resurrection, what is the solution if the re-set procedure doesnt work? There are no irreglular noises or odd operation, just doesnt go up that last 1/4". I've tried every iteration of the re-set procedure with no solution. Possibly something with the BCM?

Same thing happened to me when I disconnected the battery to install some A/V stuff. Washed the car and was like why is there water going in? Did the following:
Back to new!
- ACC mode ON
- Window UP on both windows on driver side control for 3 seconds, release after.
- Repeat again for 3 seconds, done.
Back to new!

Back for another visit.
my 2010 ZR1 has been intermittently not unlocking my door and also the window won't go up that 1/4", but it seems actually even lower than that. Last time it happened I changed keys and that fixed it, but it's back again today.
I did the window reset with the acc on, but that only helped the passenger side. The drivers side is still stuck and it still won't unlock. I have to pull the ripcord to get out.
Any words of encouragement for me? lol
Btw, search function is worthless. I had to Google search to find this link.
