Nope, replace the clutch if you don't want any more issues. The stock clutch can get you by, but no matter how many times you change the fluid you still can't slip it to get the best 60'.

I'm have a Mantic twin disk. A few guys are running the McLeod RXT and RPS. Some are running the Katech clutch. Any one of those are a huge improvement over stock.

Either is a good choice. I love my Katech LS9X clutch, but others like yourself are having great luck with, and nothing but great things to say about, the Mantic twin disk.

I have the same issues and on stock clutch. From what I understand, it's not the clutch. It's the master cylinder. Once you replace with a TIK, problem is solved...$300-400. This is what I'm going to do as well!

550 to the wheels and still on the stock clutch. Until it goes out I will abuse it as much as possible. Best 60 ft on stock has been 1.9

When it goes out a twin disc will work for me just fine.

My best 60' was yesterday with a 1.6. I'm at 510rwhp bolt-ons and stock clutch. Master cylinder is the problem; it heats up on burn outs because the of the hard braking.

What does replacing the clutch have to do with sticking clutch pedal?

It doesn't. A lot of ppl spend money on the clutch and still get the pedal to stick. Clutch Master Cylinder is the problem. Do a search on it and you will find that it's being replaced by a Tick!

Thanks its sounds like it's the fix for gm's poor design. I just hope clutch is good.

Yeah, I'm going this route as well. The clutch should be good at our power level and they take a lot of abuse.

Yes, a lot of ppl do. Most ppl swap out their clutch in hopes to cut better 60' or to combine with higher power applications; however, I believe that you can push the car in stock or near stock for to the max and really learn it and get great performance numbers before spending money in upgrades. The stock clutch is good for a good time. I have 47k miles on mine. I don't always putt putt around with my car and at track, I hot lap as much as I can. I think money well spent goes into tires, plugs/wires, and fluids that break down with hard use. Good luck with your pedal issue. I'll let you know when I fix mine.

I put the spring on the clutch for it to automatically return. I think it is sold by Lingenfelter. Sorry I don't know how to spell it.

So how has spring been working for you?
