water pump failure?
I think my water pump may have failed, I'll know for sure later today. Right now I'm just trying to find the best deal for a replacement.
http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...011_0312168068 $179 seems like a good deal; has a life time warranty also.

As long as you go with new and not rebuilt, you should be OK. How many miles on the car?
Retail GM is $379
GMPartshouse is $258
If I were you and I could get it for $258, I might pay the extra $70 for OEM - depending on what the napa part looks like compared to the part you pull.
Lifetime warranty is good for the part, but doesn't cover labor.
In the past lifetime warranty meant "well built"
Today some companies build it cheap and build the replacement cost into the price and hope.

So the guy at the shop believes that water got on the relay and made it mess up, because it works perfectly fine now. He checked all the wires and the pump and all check out. The only thing he noticed was some white corroded spots on the relay which is what led him to believe that water got in it and made it act funny.
Either way, I'm happy I don't have to replace the meziere.
