Yep, Heinz and I have worked together on that car over the last year or so as well.

Tikt had that and a Benz that took top honors here a week or so ago in the Tuner shootout.

"Coolchevy Raceparts
we won the German Tuner GP 2013 in the streetlegal turbo/supercharged GT class with TIKT Performance's ZR1. Using your Pro headers and bunch of other stuff!

thanks to Anthony & Bobby for superfast last minute parts delivery of bump steer kits, one overseas phone calls and you can be assured it is going out right away

powered by CCRP"

Very very cool car. We have more planned for that one as well!

He has a number of video's posted on our facebook account too.

So, not only did you supply various parts for "The Green Monster", you did that for the "Triple X" ZR1 as well!
It appears to be a small (Corvette) world.

Are you aware of the shape of the undertray of the "Triple X" ZR1, Anthony? It's pretty unique!

yes it is a small world indeed. Anthony and me chat often about those cars and it is a rewarding situation for both of us.

the XXX3 has some unique parts for bodywork which are only there for function and not for show. Thus, temperature management is one of the best you can have in a ZR1, this clearly shows in water, oil and IAT2 charge temperatures. The oil cooler setup is so efficient now that you have to tape off inlets on Autobahn (current lousy weather I mean) or oil might freeze to death

XXX3 will undergo further improvements in the near future as we want to take a few track records back this year like Sachsenring, long Hockenheimring and possibly NBR

stay tuned

but I am more reading then writing actually....

if you meet him in Brüggen just means the black series AMG Mercedes Taxi will get a few more upgrades, right?

I'll be there to buy the previous front facia of "Triple XX", the one that is shown on photos in post # 2 here!
And maybe Tomislav brings his Z with him!

I live in Holland actually, but Brüggen is about halfway between Tommy and me, hence the easiest way to meet.

That's what I suggested to Tommy as well. He follows this forum, so who knows what the future may bring.

Why not keep the ZR1 brakes?

because the ZR1 carbon brakes are simply not good enough for heavy track use. If one just fools around a track they are OK, but heavy track use they become pointless. When pushed to the limit small bits and pieces will break out of rotor surface which means you need more pedal effort to keep same braking performance, that in return breaks more and more small pieces out which again increases your pedal efforts until it starts to fade. Not within short time but if you do long stints.

F.e., 5 really hard laps at Monza/Italy which is a superfast track where you have one turn where you have to slow down from 175 mph to 50 mph and your front wheel bearings start to burn, they get so hot that grease inside will burn as the carbon rotor can not disspate heat very well so it goes into the wheel bearing first. This track is killer on every brake setup, a Z06 Stoxxxxx setup almost melted down beyond repair.

Ask Cölestin from Switzerland, he almost burned down a customers ZR1 there after a few laps.

Hardcore racers will always revert to steel brakes, less fading, much better control and reliabilty.

as I said, hardcore racing, not trackday-fool-around-a-track driving

Yes,

Over the last few years Heinz and I have talked quite about about the cars, and he is a great asset to have as our leading LG Motorsports dealer in Europe.

The racing world really is a small community, and it a pleasure working with great people like Heinz and Cool Chevy Race Parts.

What brake setup did you go with on this car?
