I didn't say i wanted to send him i just said i would do it but then again i also used to drive from dallas to austin twice a month on used tires showing cord in my '88 740 turbo (to see my beautiful gf who was going to UT). I never had a problem. Motorcycle tires only last 3000 miles on hard street driving i've never had a problem driving on those with cord showing either. and if rain shows up... adapt to the situation don't just plow onwards blindly. i used to drive in the rain on my bikes all the time (only mode of transport). I kept a full rainsuit bungee corded to the back of my gsxr 1000... and then one day someone stole it. I was like, really? you stole my $25 rain suite? I wasn't even mad. They must have really needed it.

I'd make the trip on them. I'll guess that along the 2,500 miles you'll pass by a few tire shops -- just in case. If you feel the need to spend money get a good alignment and check air pressures.

well.. I've changed my mind again.. I'm going to put a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports on it before the trip and have my alignment adjusted to the PFADT performance street.

The last thing i want is to be stuck waiting for tires in a shady shop that might scratch my comp grey rims..

I'll just try and put some miles on these tires before i leave on june 28.
