PTM won't engage with low tire pressure when using drag radials
I was drag racing my ZR1 last night with Hoosier Drag Radials at
17 lbs of air pressure. Traction control would go off with one turn of
the PTM **** but would not recognize the second turn of the ****.
PTM was not engaging as it normally would with street tires. Help

PTM is engaged by pressing the small traction control button twice, once will turn off your traction control.
The large **** is for selecting the 1 thru 5 modes once PTM is activated, also tour/sport when not active.

Press the button once it turns of traction control
but when I press it again it does not enter PTM.
I am suspecting it is due to a low pressure message
I am getting in my driver information center.

Why are you trying to go into PTM mode? Is it because you're attempting to use the launch control? I'd assume with drag radials, you're at an experience level that launch control will slow you down vs speed you up, no?

That's what it is. The system is assuming your tires are too deflated to do anything "fun", so it's not letting you engage the PTM. There's nothing you can do with that unless you attempt to run sans the TPMS.

slippery and I start to lose traction. When using
street tires I have had more success by using
PTM under this circumstance to maintain my
et and mph as the track deteriorates over time.
I start at level 3 and eventually go to 2 until they clean and prep the
track again. Launch control has not been a help
at all though because I do better without using it.
I obtained a best of 11.27 at 127.5mph with Michelin
PS2 on another day 3 months ago but with the Hoosiers I am struggling with
A best of 11.3 at 122.5 with 90 degrees temp and
high humidity here in Florida presently. I will raise the pressures
to where the sensors are not triggering a low pressure
warning and try again tonight, weather permitting.
Thank you for your assistance.
