is the coolant tank cap suppose to screw off and come off smoothly like a normal soda top or is there a safety that you have to really pull at it to take it off once its full unwound? reverse to get it on aswell?

I'd like to know this also. People must thought I had gone bugshit when I was throwing a fit trying to get the damn thing off.
I kept getting the 'check coolant level' on the dic

mine comes off easily (cold engine)...just press down very slightly when removing or when putting it back on.

Thanks Gary.... I pushed mine down, rotated and all it did was spin. It never seemed to come up the threads. So.... I tried pulling it up, then I tried to tip it... then as it was just pissing down rain...I gave up. But... if I'd had a hammer.......

try turning it without pushing down until it comes up on the threads

if i dont push down mine spins aswell. its almost like those child proof locks on paint thinners/chemicals etc
